Daniel Hart & Jeff McKenzie

Hart & McKenzie was driving through the community and stop at our
house to see if they could roof our house. We did need a roof job so we
asked for references and their Arkansas Contractor's Licenses and they
said they were licensed in Louisiana.  I checked on their licenses in
Louisiana and they DO NOT have a Louisiana licenses.
 I called their references and their references advised us to RUN not walk but run
from them because they ask for money up front and then will not finish the
work.  We took their advice and ran.

They put the poles in the ground in November. They just set the poles into the ground with concrete, but they have not been back to do anything else. The original contract was for $12,000 for labor and materials. I paid him half of the money upfront and had him sign off on that part of the payment.

They are obviously running a scam.

They told me if the weather permitted then they should have it done by Christmas. They only came out that first time and never again. It has only rained one time since they were first there.

I have tried to contact them, but the phone number says that they do not have a voicemail set up. He has cashed my first payment, but is now gone. I know they both live in Monroe or Beekman, LA. He said he worked with LA Home Repair; however, I called them to see if they knew how to contact Daniel or Jeff. They have never heard of the two men so they were obviously lying.
