The 20 years old gas water heater had sign of leak. I shipped around town for the new water heater with the same brand. Got my estimated labor hours and cost. Just called this plumber to check the price. the quoted price was little lower than I estimated. Since I expected some problem to move old one out of the spot, I gave him the job. He promised to come at 3pm. And showed up at 3:10p, apologizing missed a street. The 2 men crew did drain the tank, disconnect all the pipes and replace the water heater with some effort, reconnect all the line and fired it up in 1.5 hrs. They cleaned up the area and disposed the old water tank. When I checked paper work and discovered missing of the warranty card, the 2 men showed up with the card saying sorry forget to leave it since it was on the bottom of the box.

They did take a few days to call me back to set up an appointment. They were able to come the next day after calling. They were on time and finished quickly. The only negative was that they didn't really explain what they had done so I wasn't sure if it was complete(someone else was at home when he finished). Afterwards, I didn't ever receive a bill so I had to call a couple of times and then emailed the address on their website. They then called me and mailed me a bill right away. I felt the bill was appropriate given the normal price of labor. I will call them whenever I need plumbing work again. They are a hometown business that has been around a while so I like to use those whenever I can.

We had an old utility sink in our basement that was leaking and falling apart. We purchased a new small cabinet unit and a new double stainless steel sink. We coordinated with Mickey's and the cabinet installers. The workers they sent were polite and showed up on time. It was a small job, but we have an older house that occasionally has plumbing problems and we will call them again when we need a plumber.

On 11/2 evening, found my Rheem water heater had wet pan with water seeping out the connection nipple (rusty). I searched Ange's List and found this company and made calls to it and 2 other local plumber in phone book. Left message. Mickey's Plumbing was the first to return my call and told me the "out of pocket price" of the Rheem water heater I wanted and installed was $575. I did research of the parts cost and estimated 2 man hours labor for installation (assume I do it myself) . It was came out $580, include disposal of old water heater. On 11/3 morning, I called Mickey and he said he could come by 3pm. Yes, 2 plumbers arrived 3:05 at the house and performed drain, water heater removal. It was a little challenge. My water heater diameter is 1/2" large than the the closet door frame. They made it out w/o damage the door frame. ( I could do it by myself!) The whole work was done in an hour w/ 2 men. Good quality of connection. They cleaned out the work area and took away my old water heater. After they left, I found there was no manual and warranty on the new water heater. I called Mickey. In about 30 min later, to my surprise, the plumber returned and handle the manual pack and expressed their sorry. Nowadays, such a plumber / contractor is not easy to found - quality work, reasonable price, punctuation and professionalism. I will use Mickey again.

The folks who did the repair were on-time. As our bathtub pipes face an exterior attic space, they suggested going in from there(to prevent having to replace tiles). They very precisely opened a small area through the wall, replaced the faucet, cleaned up the mess, and put everything back as they had found it. They also, apparently free of charge as the final bill was right at the estimate, located and showed me how to turn the water off to the house, and explained how the drain in the tub functioned(it was a variety I hadn't encountered before, and we had been unable to clean it). Very helpful and professional from start to finish.
