MERRY MAIDS

I was given a quote for a deep clean after a remodel, including cleaning the inside and outside of the windows. They did a good job on the windows. They cleaned the inside and outside of the refrigerator, but put drawers back in the fridge backwards and we had to remove them without breaking it cause it was stuck. When we got it out, the fridge was still dirty under all that so we cleaned it. They cleaned the inside of the oven, but not the outside. There was grease on the front and stuff from where the remodel guys had scraped the ceiling. The dishwasher was not cleaned at all. The cabinets were supposed to be wiped down inside and out because they had been painted and the residue from the remodel. This was not done in the kitchen or the bathrooms or the bedrooms. The outside of the bathtub and shower were not cleaned, there was still paint and grout on them. They did not clean the vent fans in either bathroom, still dust and grime there. They did do a good job cleaning the inside of the tub and shower. They did vacuum and mop. The house was empty with no furniture. I assumed a deep clean was top to bottom, inside, outside and anything you saw to clean. I specifically asked for the cabinets to be wiped out and the appliances to be cleaned. I called Merry Maids and told her I was unhappy and why. She said she or her husband would call me back. They have not called me to reach a resolution.

We had just completed a major remodel of our kitchen and laundry room and in spite of efforts to contain the dirt within the construction area, dust managed to settle heavily throughout the entire 3-level house. It was our first time to use a cleaning service so we had no experience with this sort of thing. I communicated very clearly via email to the owner of how thorough of a job I was expecting: ceiling fans, window blinds, door frames, window sills, base moulding, anything that could collect dust anywhere - up high or down low. It was a big and nasty job in a 3600SF house. Merry Maids showed up with a team of 4 on the first day and completed about 60% of the work. They came back the next two days with two people for about a half day. They exceeded expectations by cleaning things and places we had not even thought of. Their attitudes were very pleasant and they repeatedly told us to tell them if we saw anything that they missed. When we did that they attended to the area very pleasantly. They kept us updated throughout every day with their status and plans. They were fantastic. We are now spoiled and will be using them again. I strongly recommend them.
