When you call Dirty Deeds Handyman Service, You will speak with me, Robert Saunders and I will be the one that comes out and gives you a fair and honest estimate. I will also be the one that shows up and does the job. I am a one man crew. I do not subcontract out the work and I do not bring strangers picked up off of a street corner to your home to help. In the rare event that I do need a hand I bring my son. I work on a first to put up a deposit-first to get the job done basis. It is not uncommon for me to have deposits for several jobs and to be booked for 30 to 90 days out. This is usually the case with jobs that take several days to several weeks to complete. I can usually squeeze in small jobs that only take an hour or two within a few days. I am rarely able to answer the phone and come over right now and do a job. If you do find a handyman that can do that he is probably not very good or he too would be booked up. I service in general an area about 25 mile radius from downtown Ft Smith. I specialize in jobs out in the boonies where other contractors wont go. There is no fee for giving an estimate in that area. However due to the constant increase in fuel I usually charge a $25.00 fee to give an estimate outside that area. I do apply that fee to the price of the job if I get the job. That fee must be paid in cash before any estimates are given. I accept cash and personal checks drawn on local banks and all checks should be made payable to Robert Saunders.

Animal Fencing questions, answered by experts

Maintain your wattle fence by inspecting it at least twice per year for loose weaving and degrading branches. Replace any seriously degraded sections, ensure water drains properly around the posts, and trim any sprouting branches if you used green wood. If you notice the weave loosening, you can often tighten it by gently pushing down on the top branches. You can also apply a natural wood preservative every two to three years to extend the fence's lifespan.

The cost to build a fence is about $3,100 on average, but you could pay anywhere from $400 to $13,700 or more. Your cost will depend on the length, height, and materials for the fence. If you hire a professional installer, labor costs typically represent about half of the total cost of the project. This means you potentially can save quite a bit of money doing the work yourself.

Staining a fence is less expensive than painting a fence due to the cost of materials and the longevity of the finish. Stain not only lasts longer than paint without chipping or peeling, but you also won’t have to put in the extra time and cost to prime the surface first.

The average lifespan of a vinyl fence is 20 to 30 years. But with regular maintenance and care, some vinyl fences can last up to 50 years. To keep your fence in good shape, we recommend cleaning it every few months with a soft-bristled brush and mild soap, regularly inspecting it for damage, and trimming nearby trees to reduce the chance of impact damage or mold growth.

All fences offer some degree of privacy, but standard perimeter fences may not be designed with that in mind. Dedicated privacy fences, however, tend to enclose smaller areas and feature more high-end materials that truly emphasize seclusion and comfort. Additionally, privacy fences typically offer fewer gaps to peek in through than standard fences, though you can likely adjust that to suit your preferences.
