Shook's HVACR Service

Fantastic. Mr. Shook returned my calls promptly and showed up as scheduled. He went to great length to explain what he was doing and why. He gave me options with pros and cons in order to allow me to make the decisions.

It went well he gave a good look to it and gave us a warranty on the air conditioner and haves is no problems and gave us a good service and I would hire him every time

James did a great job. He explained everything, answered all our questions, and worked late into the night to get our AC going again. He wasn't able to finish, so he was right back early the next morning to finish the job. He is very knowledgeable, and one of the hardest working guys out there.
We are very happy with the equipment that he installed, and he even was able to purchase an upgraded blower for us at no additional cost.
I've used Shook's service in the past, and I will keep going back. If you want a polite, hardworking professional HVAC service, James is your guy. I would recommend him without reservation to anyone.

He arrived at 8 am on the day he said he would install the unit. He worked till the air conditioner was in perfect working order. He left at 10:30pm .  His professionalism far exceeds expectations.  He returned the next day to make sure the heating was installed properly.   He completed the paperwork for rebates and tax deductions.  We were very pleased with his work.

He was a few minutes late for the appointment and called to tell us when he would be here.

When he was finished he asked if we had further questions and told us to call him if there was any further problem.

We were very pleased with the job he did and his professional manner.

We will definitely call him if we need hvac work done in the future.

I cannot say enough good things about this young man. On the coldest day of the year that we've had, he came out AFTER dark to try and do an initial inspection and see whether he could get us up and running again. When that didn't seem possible, he came out 3 days later when it was warmer and drier to do a more thorough inspection. He told us that he could fix it and quoted us a price but that he could not guarantee the work for more than a few months and thoroughly explained why. He then provided a quote for a new system that included all installation and a parts/labor warranty. He came out to start the install on that new system 3 days sooner than we were expecting, working until after 9:00 PM. He came back on another day to finish last minute items and do another check to make sure everything was working. When he realized there was some issues with the duct work, he spent extra time trying to band-aid those issues, knowing that we couldn't afford (nor was the weather conducive) to changing out all under-the-house duct work at this time.
James is extremely knowledgeable, very concerned with the qualify of his work, and very responsive. I couldn't ask for a better HVAC needs and plan to use him for twice yearly PM service.

James repaired my furnace two years ago, he repaired my washing machine in the past few months. He is very professional and will do a good job at the most reasonable price. I am hoping to have him install a water filtration system for my home since our water is so hard. He explained how it works and it sounds like it will more cost effective than using a water softener. |He is the best service person I've encountered in this area.

the date of service is approx. since it is about 2 years since I used them.  The evaluaation and rating is based upon the serice at that time.

He was really flexible and he had fair prices. He fixed my refrigerator really good. He does a good job.

James is very professional and knowledgeable.  Answered and explained questions I had about BTU's and Seer ratings when we were deciding on new unit to install, giving me good advice on the pros and cons of different brands.  I feel like he is fair and honest and would highly recommend him.

CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT TIM.  I have to admit that I panicked a bit when our air conditioning unit inexplicably stopped working at 8 pm tonight -- the thermometer started heading up toward 90 degrees and since we have two toddlers, and tomorrow is supposed to be in the nineties, I wanted it fixed NOW. My husband and I just bought this house and know that the HVAC unit will need replacing soon, but as we have just been here for three weeks, we were really hoping it wouldn't be this soon! I called James, who called Tim, who promptly called us back and headed over to our house at 9 at night from Springdale (we're in Fayetteville). He could have easily told us that we needed a new unit -- we would have had no problem believing that -- but instead, he set about replacing the capacitator. It took him about an hour, in the dark, in our mosquito-infested yard. Nicest guy ever (took the time to explain everything he was doing to my husband) and we could not believe that the bill was only $100 for a service call that ended at 11 pm.  Having just moved into the area, we are delighted that we have found a duo we can depend on for all of our appliance needs and would enthusiastically recommend them to everyone. TWO THUMBS UP AND A+++++! 

These guys are a keeper. 
After several days of rain,  an odor from crawl space on Saturday and discovered a few gallons worth of water around the hvac unit in the crawl space.  This ia a relative's house, but I am the one to have an Angie's List member, so you know where I went......Angie's!  We selected Shook's based on positive ratings and a fairly close location.  We passed on other larger companies.  
James answered the call and said he would have Tim come over - same day, a Saturday no less - to fix the problem after completion of another service call.  Tim called with a time he would be over.  Communication for appointment time was excellent from both men.
When Tim arrived, he was understanding and kind to the family's shy dog.  Polite and professional, he immediately got to work, explained each step, was thorough and even took the temperature of ac from indoor vent to make sure it was working properly after being fixed.  He gave us a discount on refrigerant for mentioning Angie's List (thank you!).  Tim said to call if we had any other questions or concerns.  He also gave good advice to save on air filters.
The next day (this morning, Sunday), James called to make sure we were happy with results.  We are.
