My husband and I added on to our home and in the process
interacted with a lot of contractors. Out of all of them, Pat from Pat's
Service Company was the most professional and did the best work.
We called Pat based on a recommendation from a friend. (We are military and
move often so it is nice to find out from others who the good guys are.) He
came out exactly when we needed him (our project was not delayed while waiting
on him to respond). He and his guys worked consistently for several days to get
the job done.
I'm assuming that since you are on Angie's list, you are like me and expect
professional grade when you hire a contractor. I will tell you that my high
standards were met. He was punctual, respectful of my property, cleaned up his
mess, returned my calls promptly, considerate of my time and worked hard while
he was here. That sort of service makes me a satisfied customer.
However, Pat did some things that I consider going above and beyond, this is
why I am recommending him to you above others.
For example:
He didn't mind when my little boys sat and watched him work. He even carried on
conversations with them about what he was doing. He didn't cut corners, just
the other day I called him to come look at something A/C related that my son
had broken. He quoted me a very reasonable price to fix it. He needed some
adhesive, and he was out of the kind he considered the best for the job. He
could have used an inferior glue (that would have done the job), but instead
made the trip (at his expense) to Home Depot to buy the better quality
adhesive. Pat let me ask him questions about our older A/C unit and even took a
look at it without charging me while he was out doing work. He explained to me how
to maintain my A/C so that it would last longer.
More than once I've heard Pat say the phrase: "You might as well do it
right." And I am convinced that he really believes this and runs his
business with that goal in mind: To do it right.
I will call Pat's Service Company again and expect that you would have the same positive
experience as we have.
