THIS RATING IS ONLY FOR THIS SERVICE CALL. I’ve been using Middleton Heat & Air for 4+ years and have never had an issue, but I was VERY DISAPPOINTED with today's turn of events. I had all my units checked and serviced in April as I have done the last 4 years and everything checked out OK (or so says the service summary). Fast forward 3 1/2 months (mid-July) and over the last 3 weeks a bedroom mini-split has been slowly losing cooling effectiveness. Fearing a faulty unit or low refrigerant I had a service call performed in the hopes it would be the latter. The good news is they came the same day and within a couple of hours of placing my request and found the refrigerant was low by 4 oz. The bad news was that despite having had the unit serviced 3 1/2 months ago, they did not give me a break on either the service call or the refrigerant: Service Call $80; and 1-lb of refrigerant $59 despite only needing 4 oz. After tax, my bill was $151. I believe in capitalism and fairness, but I was raked over the coals! As a minimum, the service call should have been waived! I pay north of $450 annually to have my units checked! So why is it that less than 4 months later I need a service call and the unit is 4 oz low? The unit is 4 years old and has never needed refrigerant … what level of service did I receive during my scheduled maintenance? From where I’m sitting, not very good. Will shop around for other HVAC providers before my winter renewal.

Everything was great until 6 months after installing my NEW unit!!! It started leaking into my back closet and where the unit sits. For a year and a half I tried to get Middleton to come out, when there was limited damage. Nope! I went through pure **** with Middleton! I live in a 80,000.00 Mobile home but they treated me like white trash! It took a year and a half to get their insurance company to pay and because it is a Mobile Home we depreciated everything!! I had not choice but to accept the offer! They ruined my underbelly of my home because of the leak. I have videos and pictures! I had to get that repaired 1st thing! The weather had change and I didn't want anything to freeze. They underpaid!!!! I now have to pay out of pocket to repair the inside. They ruined walls, doors, baseboards and carpet!!!!!!! A HUGE MESS!!!! The worse part is when I opened my storage containers that were in the back closet! Everything ruined and had mold!!! My mother passed away Feb. 17th 2015 in my home. In the containers were important paperwork, letters she had written me, Christmas decorations she had bought me, her clothes, etc....., things u can't replace with money. That hurt the worse than anything! Do u think Middleton cared? Absolutely NOT! Haven't heard from them since I had to cash the small settlement check to try and repair the damge they caused! Their insurance Company was very rude. I had to deal with Cheryl Best. She was the worse! Talked down to me. Talked about my Mobile Home like it was trash!! I was desperate when my air went out. I didn't have time to look around. As long as everything is going fine with your unit, u will be ok. If u ever have issues, DO NOT EXPECT CHUCK TO TAKE CARE OF THAT. I AM A SINGLE FEMALE, DISABLE VETERAN, ELDERLY. I GUESS THIS IS Y THEY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF ME! I WILL WRITE REVIEWS EVERYWHERE I CAN TO WARN PEOPLE SO THEY DON'T HAVE TO GO THROUGH WHAT I WENT THROUGH! MIDDLETON RUINED MY HOME, RUINED CHRISTMAS AND TREATED ME LIKE A BUM! PLEASE CONSIDER BEFORE U BUY FROM THEM. I AM USING MY COMPUTER AND PICTURES ARE ON MY PHONE. I WILL TRY TO DOWNLOAD TO COMPUTER AND EDIT THIS REVIEW. THE PICTURES AND VIDEOS TELL IT ALL!

I have used Middleton exclusively for my heating and air conditioning since I moved to Bryant in 2007. They have made repairs, replaced the unit and replaced the thermostat. For several years I have also used their maintenance contract service. Today was the inspection of my air conditioning unit and the reason I will be ending my 12+ year use of this business. Firstly , the technician was not wearing a face mask or gloves, even though the company had sent emails claiming that they cared about the safety of their employees and their customers.. Then he tried to sell me something immediately. He also left the back gate open after he had used the water spigot in the back yard. Luckily I checked it before I let my dogs out. But the main reason that I will never again use Middleton is the fact that they would not honor a warranty that was only 3 days out of date. Two years ago, I was talked into purchasing a Reme Halo UV light to improve air quality. I have a number of allergies and thought that such a system might help with the allergies. I could never tell a difference in my allergies or in the air quality. The cell is warrantied for 2 years; it was installed on 4/10/2018 at a cost of more than $1000. Today the technician found it to not be working. But since the warranty had expired, they would not agree to replace the cell at no cost. I'm guessing that the cell has not been working for more than 3 days, but the fact that they would not honor the warranty when it was so few days out of date (and I had made the appointment for today more than a month ago) suggests to me that they really don't care about their customers. If a company doesn't care about me and my 12+ year association with them, I will find a company that will care.

The work was completed professionally and quickly, especially during a week when many employees may have been on vacation between Christmas and New Year's weekends. Two crews were assigned to the job in order to get our daughter's heat back on before a severe cold snap that could have frozen pipes in an unheated house. The men worked fast and smart, solving some unexpected problems on the fly, took care to protect the walls and furniture, kept us updated on what they were doing, and cleaned up well each day before leaving. Many thanks to Red, Dereck, Brandon, Isaac and Kollin for a job well done.

They did a really good job. The cost was ridiculously high but they did a great job. The price is a little bit high but the technician was awesome. He was very professional and polite. He made an effort to answer questions about my heating and air that he probably didn't have to do. I'd give them an "A" overall. I would definitely use them again.

Very well! Charlie, my service tech, was very knowledgeable and friendly. He identified the issue as a bad capacitor and had me fixed up in less than an hour. Very relieved that he could come out so quickly and get my issue resolved. I was back in business before noon! I will be switching to Middleton for my maint. agreement as soon as my current agreement expires.

Overall things went well and I would probably use them again but there were some issues. Here is the good and not so good. Pros: Everyone was great to work with. The overall quality of the work is great. The quality of the equipment and materials seems very good. Cons: Cigarette butts were left in the yard from the installers. Wire was left hanging out from the original unit. They left a breaker off and our freezer was left without power for almost a week costing us about $100 in spoiled food. I was told that it would be made up to me but never heard back from them again. I received 4 bids for the work and they were the highest but I was looking for the best quality. Aside from the breaker issue, I may have gotten my money’s worth. I would still recommend them but would also suggest that you inspect everything before they leave.

THE TECH CAME OUT AND DIAGNOISED THAT A FLUE GAS SENSOR WAS FAULTY, AND THE FLUE WAS LOOSE FROM THE UNIT. AFTER OVER A WEEK, AND ME CALLING, WE WERE TOLD THEY COULD NOT LOCATE A PART TO FIX IT. I HAVE LOOKED ON THE INTERNET AND FOUND SENSORS THAT LOOK THE SAME, WITH THE SAME TEMP LIMITS THEY TOLD ME I NEEDED. WHEN THE OLD PART WAS RETURNED I WAS TOLD I COULD SCHEDULE FOR THE DUCT REPAIR , BUT THEY COULD NOT TURN THE UNIT ON BECAUSE THE SENSOR WAS BAD. WHAT GOOD WOULD THAT DO?

It was done within one day.  Everything works great.  We had Middleton out to re-locate and replace the upstair's HVAC several months earlier.  They found that our vent pipe had a large leak -- causing a funny odor in one of the bedrooms.  They ended up replacing the vent pipe but forgot to take the old vent pipe trash when cleaning up.  The estimator for this new A/C unit said that they would take the vent pipe trash when doing the installation.  They again forgot to take the old vent pipe.  Our general contractor ended up cleaning up after them.

Our tech, Blake, was very professional and did a thorough job of checking out our system. I'm glad we chose Middleton for our heating and A/C service needs. Was also told that contract customers get priority scheduling for emergency repairs, which sounds like a nice benefit.
