"Alan came to our house and did an estimate on the spot. He had some good suggestions on what to do with our yard with the drainage issues we were having. Our yard was mostly dirt and tree roots and very sloped. I wish we would have taken before pictures because our yard has been completely transformed. Alan was upfront about the cost and very accommodating when I wanted to add a garden at the last minute. He even surprised us with some beautiful gardenia bushes as the base of our deck. His crew was friendly, efficient, and very hardworking. Would definitely hire again!"

"Integrity. I found this company online to handle my elderly Dadâ s yard as his Fatherâ s Day gift. I live in Alabama and am currently prepaid for a couple of months. My (sometimes) crotchety Dad is so completely impressed with them. At one point, they even lifted the mower over the fence when he forgot to unlock the gate. â Old schoolâ integrity, amazing attitude, consistent, great communication, and attentive. I have been self- employed for over 30 years and it takes a lot to impress me-----------Iâ m sure this honorable crew could run any company, or achieve anything they set their mind to. Very refreshing!"

"This group is top notch! I inquired about some trees and debris needing to be removed at a cost I could afford. Wesley gave me a call quickly,he came out gave me an estimate then I called him that afternoon. In less than 2 weeks job done it was alk cleaned up in one day it was remarkable. I will admit I kept adding things on with a little extra cost but he was very patient with me and got everything done and more . These guys are over the top with excellence. Great work and the job is done in a small amount of time. We had debri from 2024 tornado and I cant say enough good things about them. Wesley is easy to talk to about any concerns you might forsee. You will not go wrong by hiring this group! We are very well pleased."

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can landscape in the rain, but you should take some precautions to keep yourself and your tools safe. Avoid using electric landscaping tools during rainfall, and don’t mow, thatch, aerate, or rake in the rain, as your tools can more easily tear out roots in the loose soil. Be careful when working on wet grass, and take your time to avoid slipping. Avoid putting in new plants before a particularly bad storm, as heavy rain and strong winds can damage or uproot plants that aren’t yet established.

Monkey grass isn’t too picky when it comes to light conditions: It needs sun but prefers partial shade. While it can tolerate full sun, it thrives in environments with partial shade (around four to six hours of sunlight per day). The black mondo grass variety is the most tolerant of heat from direct sunlight.

In addition to aloe vera and lilac, other effective humidity-reducing plants include peace lilies, Boston ferns, English ivy, spider plants, and lucky bamboo. These plants thrive in humid environments and can naturally lower moisture levels. Place them in areas prone to dampness for the best results.

Yes, it is possible to add too little mulch. Anything less than 1 inch will likely result in too little coverage around your plants, allowing weeds to grow through and minimizing the positive effects that a deeper bed of mulch would have, like maintaining proper soil moisture and insulating the ground.

Yes, if you are using rocks to form a pathway or driveway, it’s a good idea to first install landscape fabric before layering in your rocks. Landscape fabric is your first line of defense against unwanted grass and weeds on your rocky surface.
