I'm not even sure that this is a real company, in hindsight. The man that represented this company was JOE THOMPSON and several of his sons were involved as well. A business colleague of mine recommended this company, as her husband worked on Joe's crew. In retrospect, I made all kind of mistakes, myself, when dealing with this company/Joe Thompson. It was in the heat of the summer (August 2010) when they were putting my roof on, and they worked half days because of the heat....which was fine, but it took weeks to get the job done and Joe asked for partial payments along the way, to pay his crew. I should have never paid him until the work was done, and to an acceptable level of satisfaction. Problems with roof: 1) MAJOR leak in chimney flashing, resulting in the collapse of an interior ceiling in a bedroom 2) Leaks in all exhaust pipes on the roof 3) Proper flashing not used in several places on the roof - had to be repaired by another company 4) One section of the roof is actually a different dye lot - pointed out to Joe, and this is when he broke off all contact with me 5) Nails and staples not cleaned up in yard after job 6) Gutters were not cleaned after job...they are full of roofing debris Problems with sheetrock work: 1) After drying, the area that was cut into the ceiling shrunk and left a slight ridge-will have to be repaired JOE THOMPSON was informed of all of these problems and he verbally insisted that he would take care of everything. He eventually stopped returning calls and his voice mail was full so I couldn't even leave a message. I have already spend over 1000$ to repair his terrible workmanship, and still have another +1000$ to go, when I can work it into my budget.
