I got a real good deal on it. I chose Walmart because I didn't want to go out of town. They were real good. He steered me towards my computer.

I wouldn't take a Hotwheel to the Walmart (auto dept.) on Edgewood Road, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

My experience was poor from start to finish.  I arrived, requesting a new tire and added an oil change.  They said they were going to see if patching the tire would work, which I agreed to. 

An hour and five minutes later, they paged me as my car was finished....only to find out they declined to patch the tire due to uneven tread and did not put a new tire on. 

They failed to address my tire issue altogether - never called me back to see what new tire I wanted or to let me know they could not do a patch.  So, I left there with the same problem that I came in with, over an hour later! 

To make matters worse, their professionalism was nonexistent.  The guy with whom I interacted gave me the excuse of, "We were busy," when I asked why they didn't call me to take care of the tire issue.  They were NOT busy when I arrived, as there were at least three baffoons standing around, not engaged in any work at all, and they were not busy when I left.

Regarding the oil change, I THINK they changed the oil, but I cannot be sure.  I have my doubts, as I did not receive any of the "add-on" services that were included in the upgraded oil change package (i.e, wash exterior windows, vacuum carpet)....none of those things were completed, so anybody's guess is as good as mine as to whether or not the oil was really changed. 

I would have went back to have those added services completed, however, by the time I was done with the first issue, I was not charged for any services because the guy running the cash register had so many difficulties with processing the transaction, that he gave up and told me there was no charge.

I would say the $0 price I paid was equivalent to the quality of work and service I received.

I will NEVER return to a Walmart for auto service.  And, I will not be returning any time soon for other products or services...

I did call later and asked to talk to the department manager. I told him the entire story, including my annoyance at all the little changes that had been made for no apparent reason.  He reacted appropriately, saying that should never have happened and he would look into it and get back to me, but he never did.  I am quite disappointed in the entire episode.

Follow-up:  I went to Sam's Club across town and they quickly replaced my tires.  The stud did in fact break when they took it off.  They told me it was safe to drive and that I should take it to Boubin's at my convenience and have it repaired, and to return with the receipt and they would reimburse me.  I had it fixed about a week later, took Sam's Club the receipt, and was promptly reimbursed in cash. Strange that Walmart and Sam's reacted so differently, given that they are owned by the same company.

Dr. Todd Lee was wonderful and very professional the way he handled my children and the exam that he gave them.  It was thorough and I felt very good about what he did.  He took time with each of them and didn't rush us through.  We have moved so we won't be able to go back to Dr. Lee for my children's eye exam this year.

For the first time, I was getting contacts and I could not put on my subsequent lens and the optometrist encouraged me that I can do it by myself.  They gave me a good prescription.

They are not very good. The quality of work and professionalism is not good. My battery was rusted and they didn’t look into it. They didn’t say a word about it. You pay for what you get. If you go for any work, they tell you that they don’t have staffs to do that particular work. I won’t go back to them again as they don’t have a technician or a staff to look at things. I would not use them in the future.

We were just there to do some shopping, we were going to be there for a while and it was due for an oil change.  There was no specific reason that we chose them.  It was more out convenience.  We don’t have to use them if we have to we will use them in the future.

I saw the optometrist for an eye exam to get a new prescription for my contact lenses.  I currently wear mono-vision and asked about the possibility of trying bifocal contact lenses.  He told me that I would not like them.  He gave me a prescription for the same brand of contact lenses that I had been wearing and the new prescription is very different.  I was not offered a trial pair of lenses and after the exam the assistant was trying to order a year's supply of lenses for me.  I asked for a trial pair so that I could be certain that the prescription will work for me.  That is standard--you can't return boxes of contact lenses that have been opened.  They told me that the lenses would take up to 2 weeks to come in.  It has now been well over a month, and I still have not been able to try out the new prescription.  I call every week to check on the status and am told that the lenses come from their warehouse and should be here in a couple more days.  This is crazy!  Last year when I visited a different provider it took only 2 days to receive trial lenses.  I simply refuse to order an entire box of lenses for fear that this new prescription will not work for me.  Getting the correct prescription for mono-vision lens wearers is very important.  I will not use Wal-Mart optical again.

At first, I had the wrong prescription filled, but they corrected it right away. They're in partnership with 1-800-CONTACTS and I got my money back from both companies. Also, their prices are reasonable.

I took my vehicle into the Russellville Wal-mart Store# 58  I was there to get my tired rotated because it was time and i had purchased the lifetime rotation and balance when i purchased the tires.  I was informed by the tire technician that they could not rotate the tires because the tires had alignment wear on them.  They suggested I take my vehicle to another place of business to get the van aligned.  I did that and the technician told me that it was a little bit out of alignment but not bad and that the tires were no bad they still could have been rotated.  They still had 5/32 tread on the outside and 6/32 on the middle.  I went back to walmart with this information and was still told since it had alignment wear they could not touch the tire cause they would be liable for any damage.  I talked to 3 managers and called into the walmart headquarters and no one would help me.  I purchased the lifetime rotation and balance for 20 dollars a tire, i was told to have a technician align van, i did that and then when i told them they said it would be fine to rotate the tires they couldn't accept another technicians assessment.  There was no threads showing as plenty of tread left.  I will never do any vehicle maintenance ever again because of the way they treated me.  No one cared that i had just wasted my money and no one wanted to help me.  I hope no one else has to ever deal with this it was a very frustrating,

After a week my phone just went dark would not reboot at all. Called their trouble line.  WE'LL FIX IT do not return to store. Shipped my phone back after an hour on the phone arguing about customer service.  Shipped my phone out Friday with there shipping label that today Tuesday, and it's still not in their shop.  It was supposed to be next day I paid for it.  I want get a phone for at least another 2 days at the shortest.  If you don't care about customer service Walmart.com is a great place, but I won't be using them again. They just don't care about there customers experience.
