Called and ask how much would it cost to replace my windshield and was told arount 650.00. I made appt. and got the windshield replaced on 2/13/2014.
The total cost wound up being 828,80,. price quoted didn't include labor or taxes.
The first several days after the work the weather was cold and cloudy. The first thing I noticed was when I used my wipers and they didn't go as close to the edge of the glass on either side as before and then when it got sunny I noticed there was hardly any tinting in the glass, not as much as the factory windshield.
Two weeks after the installation I made a trip out of town. On the return trip, I had barely gone 15 miles when my car started making a horrible noise. I pulled over and checked all around and didn't know what it was. It seemed to get really loud at a higher speed, so I drove under speed limit the rest of the way. The next day I would hear a noise start so I would slow down a lot and it seem to quit, but I drove very little that day. Then March 11 was a windy day and when I started down the highway the noise was back regardless of my speed, so I pulled over and found the rubber seal that goes on top of the windshield was loose all the way across and flapping in the wind.
I called and they told me to bring my car back in so they could fix it. I drove 60 miles round trip for this company to install the windshield and now I have to drive another 60 miles to see if they can get it right the second time. Not happy and will not do any new business with this company in the future. If this is your job to install windshields why is it not done correctly the first time?? Bad workmanship and low quote on the phone.
