Description of Work: He said he would order a mover bag and frame to arrive in his shop in two weeks. After three weeks, he said it was in warehouse and would be in any day. After two more weeks, he said the frame would eventually be in but he didn't know when bag would arrive. Lawnmower shop in lowell indicated they could get one in two weeks, if we ordered. We did. We went to Bates to let him know we could wait any longer and had found it elsewhere. He told us to get off his property and to never come back if that was the kind of people we were. My husband asked why he was so mad and if it were that he had already paid for the parts....we would reimburse him and would pick them up when delivered. He still yelled and screamed and said to get off his property and to never come back.

Description of Work: I needed engine parts for an old gasoline powered welder. They were very helpful and were able to identify the parts I needed from a photo of the welder.

 + -1 moreI needed my chain saw repaired. Dropped it off on 10/28/2014 and was told it would be fixed in 6 weeks. Today is 2/13/15 and still not fixed. I have picked it up and I am taking to another small engine repair shop.

 + -1 moreI took my lawnmower to them on 7/3 as it was not able to start. They were honest with me up front that they were behind as the gentleman there only works on lawnmowers at night. At the time it was hot and the grass was not growing so I left it there thinking I could do without for 7 to 10 days. I did not get my lawnmower back until August 1. If you are not in a hurry, they do great work at extremely reasonable prices, but if you are in a hurry, do not take your lawnmower there. Best I could tell, their main work was on weedeaters and they serviced lawnmowers at night. The BIG problem I had was the lack of communication. I called several times and they did not answer. I had to make 2 trips out there to catch somebody at the store to find out where they stood with my mower. They could have at least called and given me an update for I eventually had to borrow my neighbor's mower twice. This one was hard to grade depending on what your sense of urgency may be.
