It didn't work out and we ended up purchasing a new unit. It was leaking everywhere.  We were getting free-on everywhere. We bought from them and will continue using them.

Their service went great. The staff was very nice. I ended up needing a different company to completely resolve the issue with the AC unit. They were able to diagnose the multiple issues with the unit are not an authorized vendor for the company who made the unit so they could not do the repairs. They went above and beyond to get out to me on several occasions. They did what they could to work with Trene but there was a warranty issue. They did have the best pricing. I had no problem contacting them their service. They are a smaller outfit.

We have used Band B for 3 years to maintain an old builder-installed system and had always been satisfied. They seemed forthright and decent. When the old system recently blew out, Band B provided us with several different recommended replacement options. Band B was prompt in ordering the chosen system and coming over once it arrived. Then the agony began. Lost count--but think it was 7 times they had to come over here, 6 to make repairs after initial installation. This was surprising as Band B had a good reputation. The first night after install, the AC was cutting on and off every 10 seconds. It didn't work. The next day a fix was provided. But the following night, after looking in the attic, the drain pan was evenly filling with water. Band B were called 4 times that night. There were no responses, even though they have a staff member and quot;on-calland quot; for nights and weekends. Hmmm. When checking to see if their license was current, it was found out that the AR Dept. of Health licenses HVAC contractors and that the city of Bentonville is where contractors must first pull a permit and then get it inspected once complete. The next morning, Band B did not call us until mid-morning, despite the previous night's 4 urgent phone calls. Thus the Dept. of Health inspector was contacted. The state health inspector said he was in the area and would stop by; upon inspection, he cited 7 violations, mostly minor. But still--not having a large enough sized gas flex, or failing to tape insulation to the plenum on return seem like quality control issues Band B should have known about. Then we got a cold spell and the heat wouldn't work! Band B came over the following morning and reconnected an inadvertently disconnected pipe. It still didn't work. Then they readjusted computer settings for air flow and it was finally fixed. Not resetting the heat computer pin settings for air flow after knowing they had to reset the AC computer pin settings for air flow seems sloppy. Moreover, Band B did not pull a permit until they were cited for failure to do so. The state inspector also said that in order to meet state code, Band B had to install a new intake return, which they finished yesterday, at their own cost, and correctly. They passed the state Dept. of Health inspection yesterday and Bentonville's city inspection today. On a positive note, the system seems to be working correctly.
Additionally, the first thing we noticed on the night of install was that some of the delicate fins on the outside AC unit were smashed in. These are like the fins on your radiator and can affect your system efficiency at moving air. Band B promised to come and fix it. After 2 weeks, they repaired it today. Why didn't they inspect the new AC unit once out of the factory constructed box to ensure it was in good condition? Again, the whole process speaks to some carelessness and lack of attention to detail. Let's just say we had a disappointing experience. Over many years of home ownership we've replaced HVAC systems on 2 other houses in different states. We never had issues. Plus it took a lot of time to schedule and sit around home for all the multiple Band B repairs to take place.
Even though the General Manager apologized and provided assurances that they would make everything right (which in the end, they did), they lost our trust, so there's uncertainty about using them again. While Band B offers an installation satisfaction guarantee, it was a lot of work to keep on them about things. Contractors who do things right the first time are preferred. It's puzzling why all the other Angie's List reviews were so positive, when our experience was so different.

Not knowledgeable on HVAC units, so trusted my general contractor that the job was done correctly.
Due to multiple repairs, have decided it is probably time to replace unit. Learned that there are several issues that were done incorrectly; we have insulation in our ducts, some of our cold air returns are open to the attic, and we have a freon line leak.
Response from B & B Heating & Air Inc
"Apparently this was a new construction home built during the boom nine years ago were generally quantity exceeded quality. B&B has always stood behind there work and if given the opportunity we would have corrected anything not up to standard. Not knowing the specifics of the cold air returns open to the attic leads me to think that one of the other trades that come in after heating and air installation did not completely seal or enclose the chases which are commonly use for air returns. Unfortunately builder grade HVAC equipment manufactured during that time period was also not the best quality. I understand the frustration of unreliable appliances however to make a general statement that we are "not knowledgeable on HVAC units" is overstated. B&B has been in business for over 40 years and prides itself on quality workmanship and standing behind what we sell. We certainly would have corrected any work not up to standard if made aware."

I was very pleased with the quality and promptness of the service. I would recommend them to anyone I know that needs work done on their ac. The gentleman that came was polite, focused on solving the problem and efficient in his work. He was even aware of my cat as he came in and out, and as he was working on the filter. I will be using them again when I need more work done on my ac.

I had several times called Band B about this A/C unit. They have a great bunch of tech that are very nice and knowledgeable. The prices charged for services are very reasonable and they try to anticipate problems. If they find something they will tell you what they found, possible fixes for problem and give you a real close estimate of charge if any. All in all, a great company to deal with.

I called in the late afternoon. and they were there the next day. They did exactly what they said they would at a price 40% less then the fist company I had look at the system. I have worked in the heat and air field, and was more than pleased with their workmanship and no nonsense approach. They weren't trying to sell me stuff I didn't need like the first company. I highly recommend them.

Heating Unit began blowing cold air on Friday Evening, during a very cold time. Called Band B and left message requesting service as soon as they could. They called early Monday morning and scheduled an appointment for following day. Fortunately we had space heaters for warmth. The Serviceman arrived and found the problem to be a High Limit Switch. Unfortunately it was a part that needed to be ordered. In about one week, the part came in, they called and advised the serviceman could come the following day. He came as scheduled, replaced the part and we were repaired. Fortunately for us, the weather warmed while the heater was out, and with the
space heater we stayed warm. Very pleased with service received and cost was within reason

our upstairs air conditioner broke (100F outside). Called a company, but they could only come out by Friday. Called Band B, and they were able to come the next day. They came a bit earlier than promised and waited at the house as I was returning to it. The technician was friendly, quickly found the issue and got the air conditioner started again.

We found water leaking through the ceiling on Friday afternoon. Discovered that water was flowing over the overflow tray (ironic, eh?) of our A/C unit in the attic. Called Band B after hours on Friday evening (assumed we wouldn't hear back from until Monday). They called back early the next morning (Saturday) and were out in less than 30 minutes. They ended up vacuuming out the remaining water and clearing the drain pipe that was clogged. Having it cleaned out was a big relief. Appreciated the quick response, sense of urgency, and patience with a naive homeowner - all the while working in a 110+ degree attic. Would definitely recommend to others!

I have been using them for 12 years. They have replaced my entire heating/air conditioning unit in a house that we bought. VERY satisfied with their work! They have been responsive whenever I needed them. They come twice a year to do a total checkup on it. I don't even have to be home, I trust them that much.
