The initial meeting went great. Mr. Sims showed up on time and gave us an estimate on the spot. He mentioned that customer service was very important to his company and that no money would be paid until the job was completed. After we looked at the quote (received Thanksgiving weekend) we decided to proceed with the assurance that the job would be completed by Christmas. Once we gave him the Ok,he sent an email with the written quote. It would take several days to get answers to a couple of questions but eventually they were answered. We were told the guys would be there and that changed but eventually they did come and begin the process. We added something to the contract, but never received an updated contract. Once the posts had been set and boards attached, I questioned the strength of the fence and they added screws to the posts. I contacted Mr. Sims beginning in February with concerns in the quality of the wood and the quality of the install. I have been contacting him since then and he said he would send someone by to address the issues of the boards splitting and I asked him to personally come and inspect the quality of the work. There are 28 posts and 18 of those are splitting. It appears that the team that installed the posts did not measure as there are "Rips" of wood at the end of the sections (between posts) that are anywhere from 1/4 of an inch wide to several inches. These filler pieces do not match the top of the other boards and some are so thin, they have "curled". Many of the boards nailed have also split. The gate is warped and a piece of wood completely fell off the fence. I have continually contacted him with NO response! I contacted him May 5, 2017 asking again for him to contact me and have still not had any response.
