My plumber recommended using American Leak Detection after he could not find a leak within my house. Scheduling an appointment was easy. They provided service within three days of my initial call.  The Technician (Shane) was professional and
courteous.   He started by locating the water line, which wasn?t easy because the line ran under the patio, backyard, and the garage floor. Once Shane located the line, he applied forced nitrogen and isolated the leak area. The entire process took about an hour. Keep in mind?they don?t fix the leak ? they locate it.

Called before they came and arrived in a timely manner.  Marked the spot so that the plumber could easily find it to make the repair.

It took a couple of weeks to get them out.  They were very professional and found and patched the leak, but there was further leakage due to cracks in the pool / unevenness underneath.  We had to replace the liner.

They sent out two guys. One did the pressure test on the plumbing which all checked out OK. Another guys was actually in the pool looking around for leaks and doing and quot;dye testand quot;.
He patched some liner leaks, but the really BIG LEAK was behind the pool light.
They repaired and came back in a couple days to re-install the light. Well, the light didn't sit in there quite right and they asked us what we thought. We asked them to come out again and see if they could seat the light back in there better.
Well, they did and we couldn't be more pleased.

The leak detection went well. They communicated well despite the hassles caused by a giant snowstorm, arrived on time, and got to work. Shane was professional, courteous, and clearly knew his stuff. They quickly found the leak and had it marked for the plumber to repair.

They said the leak was in the bottom drain and they would patch it. Our pool is still leaking water and also when i opened the pool i found that our pool light has water in it now and i am going to have to have it repaired also.

They checked my pool out completely...pressurizing the plumbing and inspecting the liner (in pool inspection) and found the leak that had bothered me for a couple of years.

The office manager was very friendly and professional. They dispached a technicial the following morning who arrived at the agreed upon time. The technician was extremely knowledgable and efficient. I had a leak in the main water line between the meter and the house with no evidence as to the location. The leak was located within a half hour by injecting nitrogen into the line and using their ultrasonic listening device - making it possible for me to successfully repair the line later that day.

Jeff Matz (the owner of this franchise for Northern Alabama) performed a leak detection for a hot water leak in my two-year old home on a slab foundation. He has over 10 years of experience in leak detection pinpointed the leak within 30 minutes. After he finished, he called the plumber and told them his findings so they could determine the best method of repair. This work was covered under our home warranty so I did not pay, but was told by the plumber that the detection service typically costs around $325. I did not find any other company in the area that did this type of leak detection.

They fixed the leaks and since then we've had no excessive loss of water in the pool. We will contact them anytime we have issues with loss water to the pool. They were responsive, courteous, professional, and the price was appropriate for the work performed.

They are excellent. They don’t do plumbing. They just find the leak. They do what they say they will do. I could not compare their prices with any other company. I rate them high overall, and I will use them in future if needed.

AMD located pipes under slab with sound equipment and tried to locate leak. After 3 hours, they told me we caught the leak too early and that the leak would need to get worse before they could locate it. We had installed floating hardwood floors 4 years ago complete with a very good cushion pad between the floor and slab. AMD returned again after letting the leak get worse and located the leak and marked an "X" with duct tape on the floor. I had pictures of the yard where the leak ultimately showed up in the green grass on one corner of the house. I told him everything I knew about the plumbing in the house.
