The faucet was too old to be repaired so ended up replacing the entire unit. Overall did a good job.

The next day he came out with 2 of his guys, Daniel and Scott. The three of them dug up the pipe all the way down to the street, fixed the problem, filled the hole back in all in a day's time. They said they'll come back out once it dries out (rained hard last night) and tamp down the loose dirt. These guys are quick, efficient, and a delight to have around.

The quality of work was excellent, the technician was friendly and completed the work in a timely manner. The issue I have is that the company charges $125/hr for labor time, and for 1 pvc trap, a couple feet of 2' pvc, a quarter sheet of plywood, 1 bag of mortar, 6 feet of copper, 3 valves and misc right angles, the charge for materials is $170. I provided my own shower valve which I can buy for $30 or so at Home depot or Lowes, but they said the part costs $60. The business is marking up supplies, which I think is unfair, and had I known I would have supplied more of the parts myself, so as to save money. Thank goodness I had a Living social deal, which probably negated the mark up and saved me a little cash.

Scheduling the appointment was the biggest challenge. It took a couple of voicemails and calls to get the appointment scheduled. The technician didn't show up for the first appointment. I called the office, but didn't get an answer. After a couple of calls to their cell number, I was able to reach Jan and he let me know they were down a truck that day (Monday) and I would have to reschedule with the office. When I got in touch with the office, the lady there said she wasn't sure when they would be able to get there since the truck was down. She said she would call the next day (Tuesday), but didn't. I called back on Wednesday, and they were able to come out that morning if I could be there. They arrived as promised and did a great job on everything. They completed within the two hour time window and cleaned up. The technicians were very friendly and professional. I know that trucks break down and schedules have to change, but there should have been better communication from their office. Once they came out, everything went smoothly.

I would not use them again. They were okay. They did the work. They were reasonable. They were just very messy. It had just kind of weird me out. They informed me that they had just come from a sewer flood and then, they were trudging in my house. They were good. They did what they were supposed to do. They were responsive.

I am extremely pleased with the service I received from Cahaba plumbing! The technician adjusted the water pressure and replaced the faucet and while he was there, he took the time to give me two quotes that I asked for on other issues. I definitely recommend Cahaba Plumbing!
