I just purchased my first home. I saved for years and put
everything I had into this house. I hired him to paint 2 bedrooms. I told him I
was moving in Saturday 29th and that it had to be completed by Friday 28th. He
didn't even start until 3pm on Friday afternoon and claimed he got sick and
left by 4pm with an awful mess and
several spots on the floor. the nail holes were filled but not sanded so there
are lumps under the paint. Only 1 uneven coat covered the walls and it looked
very bad. Plus he did this without a drop cloth I assume since there were
several spots of paint in my carpet. He had just his helper come back the next
day since he was still "sick". His helper didn't start until 3pm while
the movers were moving my things in, so we had to leave both bedrooms of
furniture in the basement until the painting was finished. Saturday night comes
and the helper says he ran out of paint and it's too late to finish... I was
promised they would be back the next day, they put me off until the next Friday
Oct. 5th. He came that evening a little before
I got home from work, I had a key waiting on him, BIG
MISTAKE! After already staining my carpet the week before he proceeded to paint
without a drop cloth AGAIN! this time he fell off of the ladder, spilling an
entire gallon of paint onto my carpet and bed. He acted as if he was really
sorry and offered to pay for the damages. Unfortunately now he won't answer my
calls and has disappeared. I am afraid I have been scammed. Please don't let
this happen to you
