Stepter'S Upholstery & Auto Trim Shop

ShopThe experience was very bad. Mr. Stepter had assured me that he could re-upholster classic car seats. He was unable to do it correctly, after several attempts.  It took him months to get the seats back to me.  I provided the seat covers and all the materials, except for backseat foam, which he said he would provide, for an extra $200.  He re-upholstered the back seat using the old foam, instead of replacing it as he had promised. The seat looks really bad, and will have to be redone by an actual upholstery shop. This man is incompetent, and does very poor quality work, which he charges a lot of money for. He does not deliver the work on time.  I had to chase him down for months.  he redid the back seat several times.  it still looks like trash. The seat cover is now full of holes, from being taken off and reinstalled several times. He charged $400 to re-uphoster two bucket seats, even though I provided all the materials for these seats. The job was iffy at best. I would not recommend this contractor. Additionally, he insisted on being paid in cash, so there is no record of the work that he does, and probably no recourse through the courts.
