Scales Garage Door Installation & Repair

This project, and got changed several times on my end and Jeremy was very patient and communicated everything he needed from me. DOOR looks beautiful and I was able to get a better price than ordering through a big box retailer.

I requested a garage door replacement from Jeremy Scales in March 2021. His first attempt at ordering the door resulted in panels which were the wrong size. He attempted to order again, and again he failed. He kept throwing around the phrase "manufacturer recommendations". This was a replacement door with a reveal (windows in the top panel). He was going to charge me for the panel he needed to order on his third attempt. The only thing I can give him credit for is he did put the money he had figured for labor to pay for the panel received from the third order. He installed the panels and the rest of the garage door elements and left without hooking the door back up to the opener. When I went to operate the door, it would not operate. I contacted him and he was apparently too busy to deal with me. I was able to figure it out on my own and get it hooked back up. However, now it would only close, leaving three inches open at the bottom. Finally, five days later he came to assess the door and repair the problem. He could not figure it out. He said he needed to research the issue and he would get back to me. Three weeks later, I contacted him and asked him what he was going to do with my garage door. He told me he had researched it and I need a new opener to fix the problem. He also informed me that as far as our agreement, he has met all terms and was now done with the job. I finally researched the issue and found that the opener had to be adjusted because he had raised the torsion bar approximately three inches. Now that I have completed that, I am now able to see he still failed to allow the reveal to show as it did on my previous garage door. I don't have the energy to deal with him any more. Even though my standards are apparently higher than his, I am going to just let him off the hook for the rest of the issues. I hope he prays for guidance to help him find a job he is good at. Garage doors aren't it. Hopefully the next home owners won't notice the difference between the garage doors.

Great job! Arrived when promised and completed the two opener replacement within three hours. Very polite and professional. Cleaned up all the old parts and hauled them away. Would definitely hire again if I needed garage door work!

Despite many issues with my house Jeremy did a great job. There were many obstacles to overcome with my 45 year old house but he met and handled every one. He is a good, honest, hard-working, Godly man.

I have an older house which needed a Non-standard approach to put in a new style garage door. Scales garage tirelessly work with me to make that happen. I can’t thank them enough.

My garage door was very old. The new door tracks are made differently. Jeremy said he could cut the track but didn’t feel secure that the door would not become damaged or slide off. We did end up not doing a door but Jeremy did attempt to secure a refund. He was prompt, professional, honest and stayed in contact. I would recommend this company to anyone that is needing a new door.
