We have had Jesse and his crew come paint several interior rooms, paint or kitchen cabinetry, and the exterior of our home. They always do an excellent job, get the job done quickly and as efficiently as possible, are very professional, and reasonably priced. I highly recommend them and will hire them for any future painting we may need.

Excellent. They started with a careful review of the work to be done. He priced out the carpentry repairs separately from the painting work to be done, and he recommended a great exterior paint that protects against moisture. Once we accepted his estimate, he did the carpentry work and the preparatory cleaning / power wash in advance so that the painting work could be done smoothly without starts and stops. Once they got started with the painting, the workmanship of his team was just as excellent as the planning had been. Care was taken to get no paint on the brick or the glass areas. The painting was brushed well and smoothly leaving a creamy even texture when finished. The work was done well within time and cost estimates I was very pleased with their planning, workmanship, cost, and attention to safety. I would definitely hire J Howard painting again.

We had a wonderful experience working with Jesse. He was able to quickly provide us a quote based on our measurements and project photos without even coming to our home. His price was the best we received from several different companies. The quality of his work was beyond my expectations! He was able to perfectly match my current cabinet box color. We would highly recommend J. Howard painting to anyone and look forward to working with him again in the future on other projects.

It was great. Jesse came out quickly after I contacted him to give us an estimate and then came within a couple of weeks once we decided to have the work done, completely finishing the job a week ahead of our deadline. He and his crew were extremely professional and very nice. They arrived right on time every day, worked hard all day and cleaned up behind themselves. I felt completely comfortable leaving them in the house while I was at work or had to run errands and they were very good about locking the house up if they left before I got back home. I would highly recommend them and will definitely use them again in the future.

Jesse was wonderful to work with. I purchased the paint ahead of time and Jesse and his crew got to work early that morning. Unfortunately I underestimated the amount needed and Jesse took it upon himself to graciously pick up the additional paint, and an even higher quality one at that. I can't thank him enough!

Jesse and his team painted most of the interior of our home while we were living in another state. They did a fantastic job which we didn't see or pay for until we moved to Birmingham several weeks after job completion! Jesse recommended that we allow him and a referred carpenter to add crown molding to our living area for a very reasonable fee, and we were thrilled with the job they did and what it added to the beauty of our home. Jesse went above and beyond, as did his carpenter Keith Maynor, and we will most definitely use both of their services again. We've already asked Jesse to get us a quote for the exterior of our home, as we already know that he will do an exceptional job at a very fair price!

Jesse was very quick to do the job exactly when he said he would. I found that his quote was very reasonable for the quality of work he performs as well!

I do not live in Birmingham any longer but have my home rented out.  In anticipation of selling, I needed to find a contractor who could fix the rotten wood on the exterior as well as paint.  I found Jesse here on Angie's list and received a quote from him within 2 days.  I had 2 other quotes as well, and Jesse's was the most reasonable.  He performed the services that we agreed upon in a very timely manner and did an excellent job.

I was looking to have the main living areas in my home re-painted as the one coat of flat paint that the home's builder had used was not holding up to the messy fingerprints of my children. I found J. Howard Painting through Angies list. I gave Jesse a call and he returned my call that same day. He came out for the estimate shortly thereafter. This was just prior to the Christmas holidays and he actually asked me if I expected this to be completed before then. I was not in a hurry, so we agreed to wait until after the new year. Jesse called at the end of January to let me know that he was ready to start the job. This was on a Thursday and he wanted to know if I wanted to have the crew out to get started on a Saturday instead of waiting until the following Monday. I told him that it was not necessary to have a crew start Saturday so we agreed that they would be there Monday morning. Everyone (Jesse and two other painters) arrived promptly at 8am and got right to work. With only a 25 minute break for lunch, they finished the whole job in just one day. It looks great and I feel good knowing that the same type of paint used in my home is what the company owner is using in his own new home. The staff was neat and tidy and very patient with my little ones under foot the whole time. I would definitely use J. Howard Painting again and would recommend them to others.

I got half a dozen different quotes before I decided to use J. Howard Painting. I was impressed by Jesse's attention to detail as well as his ability to communicate what he and his crew would offer us. Jesse took the time to educate me on paint types, colors, sheetrock, etc. Additionally, Jesse's price was competitive. He wasn't the cheapest, but he was most certainly fair.
The reason I gave this company a "B" in professionalism is because I needed to remind them throughout the job of a few things we discussed in that initial consultation. I believe a more detailed quotation would have alleviated that miscommunication.
That said Jesse was extremely responsive and willing to complete the job to my exact (very picky) specifications. Not only did they finish the job EARLY and within our budget, but they did MORE than we initially discussed. I am extremely pleased that we decided to use J. Howard Painting, and we have already discussed bringing them back in a few months to paint the exterior.

The work was excellent and well worth the price paid. He paid great attention to all details of the work and he obviously takes personal pride is his jobs. He is an excellent painter and he far exceeded all my expectations. I will use him for any and all projects in the future and cannot recommend him strongly enough.

THey were really responsive and good at handling the assorted projects that we asked for. Jesse communicated when they would be coming and going very well. All the projects look great.

Jesse Howard and his crew could not have done a better job! Despite our messy wallpaper removal in most rooms, Jesse Howard promised us he would make our walls look like new, and for the most part, he was right. His crew was thorough, courteous, and very professional. Jesse always made sure to stop by first thing in the morning and explain the process, progress, etc. They were also great about touch-ups once we had moved in. Jesse Howard may not have been the cheapest painter around, but he definitely provided the most value

Completely painted the entire inside of the house. Some areas required three coats of paint. Job was completed in a timely manner, Men were very professional and courteous. Job was excellent. Clean. Highly recommend him. If you want a professional job and be pleased, call Jesse. You will not be disappointed.

Superior quality of work and professionalism.

It went fabulous. He finished quicker than expected. Was able to squeeze me in in short notice. He also did the exterior of the home to perfection. Just hired him for another project at my sisters home. Consistently exceeds expectations.
