"4 corners window cleaning is an excellent example of a successful, professional business offering a service for a great price. The team consists of 4 adults (family business) who assess the work required then divide and conquer. My home has 30 windows (up/downstairs) that I knew were dirty, but it wasn't till the cleaning was finished did I realize how dirty. Now that the windows are clean, there is so much light coming in. The house now looks totally clean; our windows and the light coming in is incredible. I would recommend 4-corners window cleaning service to anyone looking to add the final touch to their clean homes. 4-corners window cleaning has all the tools (40 ft extension poles) and equipment required to get the job done safely and completely. 4-corners window cleaning will be invited back to clean again and again. They are the real deal."

Window Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Whether you’re a renter or a buyer, you should clean a house when moving out. For renters, it’s usually written in the lease that a house must be cleaned before it’s vacated. If you’re unsure how thoroughly to clean the place, check with the landlord beforehand; otherwise, you may not receive your deposit back. When selling a house, a contractual agreement is often made with the realtor that the house is swept and that all personal belongings are removed before the previous owners move out.

You should avoid using abrasive materials and harsh chemicals when cleaning windows. Abrasive tools like scrubbing pads, rough cloths, or steel wool can permanently scratch and damage the glass. Harsh chemical cleaners containing alcohol or ammonia can damage window treatments, frame materials, and special features like tinting. It is also best to use distilled or filtered water instead of hard water, which can leave spots or streaks. For best results, use a clean microfiber cloth to wash the glass and old black and white newspapers to dry it without leaving streaks.

For a standard 1,000-square-foot home, you should expect your window cleaner to take between 1 and 3 hours to clean all of your windows. Of course, the size of your home and the number and size of the windows you have will play a role in the timeline. Certain styles of windows—like picture windows, which have no moving parts—also take less time to clean.

It depends on the surface you’re trying to clean. For example, a mixture of vinegar and water is a good option for a deep cleaning, including removing hard water stains from glass or stainless steel. However, vinegar is too acidic for granite and other types of natural stone, so it’s better to use a combination of baking soda and water on those surfaces.

Regular cleaning and inspecting seals to prevent fogging and maintain clarity.
