Description of Work: We asked Jim Snider if he would like to bid on a job of building us a home. We gave him a set of our plans and waited for a bid. He didn't call and would not respond to our e-mails or calls. We sent him an e-mail regarding the job on August 3, 2012 to let him know we would be out of town. We went to his office to retrieve our plans twice but he was not there. I had seen on Angie's List same complaint about no calling back but personally I would expect a professional to call back or respond to e-mails.

Description of Work: We purchased a foreclosure. Jim came quickly and gave us a fair estimate. We were quite detailed with our list and price but I do wish I would have been more detailed on my part. They began work promptly. We had all of our windows replaced, hard woods refinished, kitchen gutted, wall moved, living room wall replaced, fire place repositioned, chimney slightly taken down, master bath remodel, tiling, painting, carpet, pretty much a new house.The time estimate went longer than what we thought it was going to go, but we weren't in a bind so we were bothered by it too much. You may want to get more clarity on finish time if you are strapped for time. The guys were all very polite and cordial. They were receptive to questions, comments and "change of mind". We ran into the fact that the workers were smoking inside the structure. We told Jim we wanted to stop and it did. He always answered our calls. I was very organized so that may have also contributed to a good experience. Jim did a remodel for my mom a couple of years prior to our situation and her event was a positive experience as well.

Description of Work: Company was recommended by another contractor who was to replace our roof. Mr. Snider came out and gave us two bids - one for removing an old chimney which was over priced but he said it was high based on the unknowns regarding The actual make up of the chimney itself. He also gave us an estimate on redoing a roof over one of our porches that was a flat roof that we wanted redone to a gable style roof. He gave us a start date for both projects which was to coincide with the reroofing contractor and he never showed nor did he return several phone calls/messages that we had left. Very disappointing as we liked him from our initial contacts even though the bid on the chimney removal was very high.
