Beautiful venue and excellent wedding planner. We paid $46.95 per person for 110 people. We had between 90 and 100 people in attendance- closer to 90. They ran out of food, even the milk for coffee. When I shared how mortified and embarrassed we were, the owner informed me that our guests eat too much. The Turkey was pressed meat. For what we paid, we truly believe that we were taken advantage of and treated in a disrespectful way by the owner. She offered no possible solutions- only that our guests eat too much. So much of the wedding was wonderful but for the price, we want future buyers of services at Mathews Manor to know about our experience related to food. Also, while this wedding planner was great, the one we thought we had informed us two weeks before the wedding that she was not available and she said she told the owners this so this was not her problem, as far as she was concerned. The owner told us that the new planner would have an assistant, to make sure it went well. There was no assistant. Buyer beware and ask questions!
