If it were possible I would give my experience with Kaiser negative stars. It took over 16 months to get my liner pool installed though we were told it would be done in 7. The communication was extremely poor. Emails and phone voice mails were rarely returned. When I was able to speak with the office, they were rude and noncooperative. If I hadn't given them a huge down payment, I would have pulled the plug before they dug the hole. Then things got worse. They dug the hole for the pool at the beginning of July and left it there all summer. The mountains of dirt created rivers of sand and soil that covered the grass in the part of my yard that wasn't part of the pool project. We ended up having to sod the entire backyard but even more frustrating, the entire yard was not usable all summer. Since we have 4 preschool grandchildren that couldn't go outside and play due to dangerous conditions, our summer was less than the enjoyable outdoor pool and playset experience we expected. Sadly, it wasn't just inconvenience and rudeness that we encountered. There were also 2 mis-measurments that put our pool 1 foot off of center and added 10 feet of additional cement decking. OOPS! We also added a feature to the pool that, after the pool was installed and the cement poured, turned out wasn't added or even available to be added. OOPS! Additionally, on the day after they poured the cement, there was a crack the width of the cement decking right near the pool stairs. OOPS! None of this was addressed or fixed. We finally got our last piece of equipment in December. Endless Delays and broken promises Rude and spitful office staff. Incompetence and subpar product and delivery.

We have been pool service customers with Kaiser for 5 years. Recently, management has stepped out and turned the keys to the castle over to a rude and condescending office manager who bills incorrectly and can’t admit to a mistake EVER. Kaiser now bills for services not rendered, charges for chemicals that were provided by the customer and then when the customer questions these practices, office manager claims that no one else at Kaiser will speak to you. To make matters worse, their pool tech has now ruined our liner by dumping undissolved shock all over the pool causing major discoloration. I have been waiting for a phone call from someone other than office manager (who happened to have provided one of the 5 star reviews with no comments...SM) all week. Who knows if management is even aware but shame on them for going to sleep at the wheel.

We had a 16 x 30 Shotcrete pool installed, with a bump-out  sunbathing/wading ledge, a sitting ledge, and 2 water fountains.  The
ledges and steps have imbedded dolphin tiles to define the edges.  The concrete deck was the standard 4 feet in width, with an 8 foot width for chaise lounges on one end.  It also included a sidewalk to the back porch.  (We did not want to remove a large tree past our back porch, so pool was installed past the tree.)
The crew for this company had outstanding work ethic.  They were professional, knowledgeable, and very experienced.  They kept the workplace neat.  The company gets an "A" for their  work crew.  The company subs the plaster work and uses a traveling crew from Louisiana.  The plaster work was excellent; however, there was a delay waiting on this crew.  I blame the pool company for this delay.
The pool equipment was installed with no problems so far.  The equipment is the latest, state-of-the-art.  We chose a saltwater pool, which costs a little more at the front-end.   The company gets an "A" for quality of the equipment.
A Shotcrete pool takes longer to complete. The initial estimate for installation was 6 weeks, weather permitting.  Ours took 9 weeks, with no weather impact or equipment/crew problems.  I give the scheduling by the company a "C".  Also, after 9 weeks and after the water was in the pool, there was a delay  finishing the work (equipment settings, chemicals, salt, etc).  However, they did get everything done.  They spent a lot of time teaching us how to maintain the pool and equipment and were readily available to answer our questions by phone.
We are thoroughly enjoying the pool.

Response from Kaiser Pools

"Kaiser Pools appreciates all request for information and makes every effort to respond in a timely manner. [name removed] contacted our company via our website on 07/31/2014 at 9:35 PM a Thursday night saying [removed] was interested in getting a pool and left her email and cell phone number for us to respond. We responded on the following Monday at 8:43 AM via email saying we would call her this same day. And, we did call her cell number and got no response. We did not call her work number because we did not see the reply email from her. Even though we offer alternative contact options with internet and email...they are not always a reliable source for communication. There are times when our server is down and internet and email are not working properly. And, we are human. It is always best to call our office during open hours. We always have someone in our office to take calls, answer your questions and make appointments. Our goal is to offer superior pool service and build quality in-ground swimming pools."
