I had a side by side refrigerator with ice and water in the door that had a crack in the housing holding the water filter. This crack leaked water and make the ice maker and water line unusable until it was repaired. I took this refrigerator into the shop and was told I would be called soon to tell me what it would cost to repair. A few days later after not hearing anything, I called and was told the tech would call me back later that day. He never called. I called back the next day and was told the cost would be about $150. I agreed to the repair and was told it would take about a week to 10 days to get the parts delivered since the filter housing part needed would have to come from the factory. About 2 weeks later I called back and was told someone would call me back that afternoon. I never got a call. The next day, same story, someone would call back, but they never did. After the fourth call and being told I'd be called back, I reminded them no one had called me back on the 3 previous calls. The lady I spoke to assured me I would get a call back even if she had to call herself. About an hour later she did call to tell me the part had not arrived yet. When asked when to expect the needed part, I was told maybe next Wednesday. This went on for several weeks before they finally got the correct part and repaired the water leak. It took two months to get this refrigerator fixed. And to top all this off, when I finally got my refrigerator back and went to pay the bill, I was told they charged and extra 5% for using a credit or debit card! They never mentioned anything about this extra charge when she made an impression of my debit card that first day I took my refrigerator in. Had I known about the extra charge I would have just taken my checkbook with me instead of paying the extra $7.50.
