They were cutting down some dead trees in the lot next door to us, so we asked if they had time to give us a quote. They quoted us $850, which was $50 less than another quote ex had gotten so we set up an appointment for the next Tuesday for them to come do the work. My husband waited all day and they never called or showed up. Also, they told me husband they would be taking care of the mess they left when they cut the trees in the vacant lot next door but they didn't. The mess is on the other property, barely, but it looks awful. If they didn't keep their word on that, I'm not sure why I am surprised they didn't show up for out appointment.
Update: Strickland Tree Service showed up about 1 1/2 to 2weeks later to cut our trees. They said they were unable to come on the agreed upon date because it had rained a day or two earlier. I could understand that but would have liked to have been notified that they were not able to come on the scheduled day and when they decided they could come. I was on the verge of hiring someone else to do the job. They did a great job cutting the trees while avoiding my garden which was nearby and clearing off the debree. They accidentally cut down an additional tree but did not charge us for it when notified of the mistake.
