SCHOENROCK & SON'S LANDSCAPING

At first all seemed well, after contacting 4 different landscapers, he was the only one to show up.  After talking to him and telling him what I wanted, he was very optimistic and energetic to get the business and told me that it would be a couple of weeks before he could get started.  When it was time for him to get started, he was pushing the job out longer.  He did not properly bury the sprinkler system to the correct depth, he did not prep the dirt or smooth out prior to laying sod and used chunks of old sod that was removed for the sidewalk to place around a tree.  The sod he brought was not the correct type and was not enough, having to go back and get more.. But it was weeks apart.  He started laying sod on the lower part of the hill, so when it rained it got covered in rock, mud, and clay, and he did not fix.  He pourd the sidewalk, but was not as we had described and used calking to adhere rocks to it, instead of mortor, and he did not use a footer for the retaining wall, and used calking to hold the blocks together..  He was very, very slow and always had excuses as to why he would not be there and what should have been a 2 week job turned into 4 months before I terminated him as he still did not finnish everything he was supposed to.  After terminating him, he still wanted the full price for doing the work, although we didn't do, but about 3/4 of it and left supplys on my property for several months afterwords.  At the very start I stressed to him that I was wanting a quality job and spoke in detail about the retaining wall he was replacing and the issues with it and how to resolve them, only to get another shotty wall built, lumpy grass that doesn't match the rest of the yard, and a lot of stress and aggrivation.
I wished I had angie's list back then or had went to the local landscape supply store and asked for referrences.  Heck of a nice guy, but do not hire him for large jobs.

I used them in 2008 to do a huge job in my yard. They did an ok job, although, they never showed up when they said they would. They completed the job but it was way over priced. So fast forward to 2012 when i needed some mowing and pine straw laid. He came out and quoted me 150 to 200 dollars, then when he finished the job he told me that the cost of pine straw had gone up and he would need 500 dollars. I told him HECK NO, we agreed on 400$. He also advertises a military discount but does not honor it. He says, yah i knew you all were military that was already taken off my price i quoted you. He's just all around shady and I would never ever use them again. After this experience I questioned the integrity of the huge job they did for me years earlier. They were unprofessional and never came when they said they did.

At first it was great. We had been using them for lawn maintenance since 2007. They came every two weeks and everything looked great. But I am not sure if they just had too many clients but it got to the point where they just didn't seem to care and didn't show when they were supposed to..

I have been using them from 2007. They got a price which you really can't beat. They are reliable as well.

Overall I would recommend this company to anyone needing reliable lawn service. They do a good job for a reasonable price.
