A&K Thrift Mall

The entire story is not as important as the business practices in general, about to be explained.  ***********This rating or review is specifically provided for people interested in renting booth space at A&K Thrift Mall*********. A&K Thrift Mall is an up and coming business with a great location and potential. Unfortunately with the start up of most businesses there are always a LOT of kinks to iron out. My experience was unsatisfactory because I rented a booth within this thrift mall for three months and the proprietors are learning what works and does not work as they go along. If you are the kind of person that does not require order or STRONG stability with business practices then A&K will be perfect for you to rent a space to sell your unwanted items. If you are a person that wants only to do business with a person or someone that has the stability of having been in business for a long period of time you should probably rent a booth or space at a longer standing competitor's building. Business is Business and one such disturbing clause of the newly revised contract as of May 09, 2012 is section AD. AD. Store policies are subject to change during the course of the month, business week, etc. Policy updates will be posted online, in print in the store and on the windows and or doors of the business. The signing of this lease/rental agreement does not bind A & K Thrift Mall to maintain the same store hours, days of operation or types of advertising that are present and or currently maintained by the store at the time of signing by a vendor. As of today 06/01/2012 if a person were to visit the website you will see they have NOT listed a full copy of their policy as it stops at clause "P", and a website posted policy change has not been made since 04/21/2012. A&K is in violation of their own clause AD as it was stated above. I have to ask who would want to sign a minimum 3 month lease agreement when clause AD clearly states "Store policies are subject to change during the course of the month, business week, etc." Basically this to me sounds like "anytime", and aren't commissions, and booth rental rates not also part of "Store Policies"? So even though I signed a 3 month rental agreement and my commission at time of signing might be 5% with a booth rent of $50.00 a month this too could be changed during the course of the month, business week, etc. Very poor choice of wording throughout the entire contract (should you get a copy).  Unfortunately when similar instances of poor wording or policies were pointed out the meant to be suggestions or constructive criticisms were not received very well by the proprietors.
