Y and Y Quality Painting repainted our house about a year ago and we were pleased. At that time Mr. Yarbrough told us that he performed home repairs as well as painting and wallpapering. So when we needed repair work on our screened porch we called them.
The repairs on the porch required more work than was expected. A lot of the plywood under the shingles was rotted. The rolled roofing we requested was difficult to install, and shingles on the roof above the porch were loose.
The work was performed by Mr. Yarbrough and one other person. They arrived at the expected time and worked several days. There was a heavy rain right after the work was completed and we discovered a small leak around one of the skylights. We called Y and Y Painting and Mr. Yarbrough promptly fixed the problem. Then he came out again after the next heavy rain to make sure everything was OK.
The people from Y and Y Painting are very professional and clean up thoroughly. We plan to call them again when we need more work.

After mold formed on the side of a third floor dormer we requested estimates to paint the house. Y and Y Quality Painting was the least expensive of the two companies that responded to our request. The same person who did the estimate pressure cleaned the house a few days after we accepted his estimate, allowed a few days for it to dry, and then painted the house. He was on site for almost the entire job and had only one helper. Several of the areas to be painted were very high and difficult to reach. We were pleased with the way the house looked after the work and with the fact that they scraped, sanded, and primed not only the the area of mold we saw but several others areas of mold or peeling that we did not point out. They were polite and professional and cleaned up after the work was completed.
