Apex Roofing & Restoration

The initial review of damage went well. They worked well with the insurance company, however, once the contract was signed it all went down hill. Upon completion of the roof there was damage to our home. The siding & cornice. As well as holes left our roof that were not there prior to the roof replacement. We are still waiting for them to repair the damage they made but they are certainly to in a hurry to make things right. Would they allow a contractor to leave their home in this condition??!

After receiving a recommendation from a friend who was satisfactorily using this company, I requested an estimate. They were quick to respond to my request and shortly after sent out an inspector. The inspector was pretty thorough in assessing the job requirements, seemed knowledgeable and pleasant. He told me I would hear back from a salesman to provide a quote. And then nothing. After waiting a week or so I called the office and either I got an answering machine that didn't take messages or the phone just rang and rang. I then e-mailed the inspector and asked him to speak with their salesman to please give me a call. I never did hear from anybody. It was a very perplexing situation.

We were very pleased with both the quality of work and customer service from Apex. The sales guy worked with us to file an insurance claim and that process went very smoothly. The job was done on schedule, the quality of work was very good, and clean up was great. They came back to address a few issues after cleanup to ensure we were happy, and their customer service rep followed up after that to make sure we were satisfied. I would recommend Apex to others.

I called Apex based on the recommendation of some of my neighbors who had similar damage in the hail storm. I was told I would get a return call. The next week I called again because I didn't receive a call back - they told me they would check on it and get right back to me. I still haven't heard from anyone.

Very timely in their work and did a great job of explaining what needed to be done and my options going forward. Work was knocked out in just under two days and looks great. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic - We have a large home (about 70 squares of shingles). This 4 man team removed (and cleaned up after themselves) the old roof, replaced sections of rotten decking, added the new roof and completed the total job in 4 days. Not one penny was paid until the job was finished and we were totally happy.

Very professional, punctual and quality work. I was dreading getting this done until I spoke with Bo from APEX, he was so professional and friendly. No problems. Even a small piece of trim work was damaged during the re-roofing of my house which they promptly repaired & even took the time to match the paint @ Sherwin Williams.

The job went better than expected. We had received an insurance settlement for hail damage to the roof. They replaced the roof with an excellent grade of material for the amount of the insurance settlement plus our deductible. They were quick and punctual. The clean-up after the job was outstanding.

I met with a very nice salesman in mid July and set a date 3 weeks out for them to start work on the roof.  The salesman said the job would take 2 full days and that a crew of 8-9 men would be working on the roof.  I had an 11 month old at home so I planned for my wife and son to be out of town when the work was to be done.  At lunch time the day they were supposed to begin I called their office and was told they were running behind but not to worry they would begin the next day which was a Saturday.  It concerned me that I had to call APEX midday the day they were to begin the job and ask where they were. Saturday came and went and no one showed.  Sunday a 3 man crew began to take the roof off the back of the house shortly before my wife and son returned from their trip at 1pm.  Keep in mind the trip was intended for them to avoid the banging and so that my son could get his naps.  To make matters worse, over the course of the weekend, my son had come down with the flu.  The 3 man crew worked on the house the next several days and finished the job late Thursday evening around 7pm which made this a 5 day job.  My wife and son were miserable the entire 5 day affair with lots of banging going on throughout the day.

On the 3rd or 4th day of the job, my wife called me at work and said my son's upstairs room was 88 degrees so I knew the HVAC was broken.  I took the afternoon off and called my local HVAC company to come fix the unit.  Shortly after arriving home at 3pm a guy pulls up in an old van who appeared homeless.  I thought he was there to ask for money or help but he said he had come to fix the HVAC and he worked for APEX.  I asked how he knew it was broken and he said early that morning someone called him from APEX and said a roofer said he drove a nail through the roof and realized he'd punctured the refrigerant line for the upstairs HVAC unit.  Problem being, no one told me or my wife that this had happened!

There were a couple of other things they did that concerned me.  I noticed one day when i walked outside that the ice and water shield was three quarters up the valley of the roof and they were nailing shingles.  I thought the ice and water shield needed to be run all the way to the top of the valley of the roof.  They also knocked several of my gutter guards out but I had them come back to put them back in place as the roof was too high for me to get up on and fix myself.  There was some rotten wood OSB around the chimney that I showed the salesman when we met in July.  Luckily I went in my crawlspace after they had finished roofing the chimney area and discovered they had not replaced the rotten boards.  After I complained they did rip off that part of the roof and replace the rotten boards.  As someone else has mentioned, they do not re-do the flashing around the chimney or against the house.  Finally, they had quite a bit of left over materials including shingles and ice/water shield they took with them.  I didn't expect them to leave me anything other than maybe one pack of shingles out of the same lot just to have on hand in case i need to replace a shingle one day down the road.  Overall I was just left with a very bad taste in my mouth about my experience with this company.  I will say a friend from work used them and loved them.  He said a crew of 8 men took off his roof and put a new one on in a couple days.  That is not what happened at my house.

It went wonderfully. I literally do not have a single complaint about the entire process from start to finish (and I'm very particular about how things are done to my house). Beau was prompt, knowledgeable, kept me in the loop, returned calls and texts, and was extremely friendly. I truly felt like he had our best interest at heart and wasn't just trying to  get a "sale". He even helped me through the insurance claims process, since I'd never had to deal with that before. The materials were of good quality, the work was done quickly but not haphazardly and they cleaned up afterwards. They didn't cut corners either...they replaced the paper, replaced the plywood where it was needed, replaced all vents, installed ridge vents and more that I can't remember off the top of my head. There was a tiny bit of damage done during the demo portion, but when we told them about it, they didn't bat an eye and got it fixed up way quicker than I expected. I'm VERY happy with Apex's service and I've recommended them to friends and neighbors.

The contractor did an excellent job.  Followed through on all commitments, showed up as planned and finished in 2 days.  Cleaned up thoroughly after completion of the job and even cleaned out the leaves from our gutters.  Very pleased!

After an expected rain delay, the roofing crew was right on time each day for two days. They were professional and worked hard and fast. I was blown away at how much they were able to get done. They were also willing to explain when they replaced the wood and why in each case. They cleaned the area around my house VERY well. There were no suprises from the estimate to final payment.

• The salesman suggested a different color for my shingles which is better than my original.  The workers worked from 7 AM till 7:30 PM for 4 days.  The Apex  salesman was always available to answer my questions.
