Rickey Wright has been working in the “Design” industry since 1995 at which time he began drafting “Home Plans” on a part-time basis. During the 19 years that have followed, Wright has been privileged to have helped a number of clients on various designs, to which he states, “It is always such a gratifying experience to help someone to realize their dreams of a new home”. Rickey has worked with clients on projects that range in size of a single level home with less than 1000 square feet to Projects that are multi-story with over 4000 square feet of living space. As Wright states, “no job is too small”. In discussing the relationship to design with his clients, Wright explains, “I have worked with clients that simply need an existing plan modified to fit their needs and desires, others have an idea or a sketch on a piece of paper that can be used to develop a design uniquely suiting their needs. Still others have an idea, but nothing on paper, we discuss their needs, and desires or wish list. From that discussion a Floor Plan starts to emerge that can ultimately be developed into their dream home. It is very rewarding, seeing that progression from a concept to a working model”.
Rickey is dedicated to helping clients realize their dreams and bring their ideas to life. Wright will meet with his clients initially to discuss their wants, desires, and needs. Wright states, “We will discuss their ideas, budget, utility needs concerning heating and cooling, location, and many other factors. From that I will develop an initial design of the Floor Plan and submit it to the client for review – this is usually done through email or if the client is local, I might meet with them in the office.” Wright utilizes the latest in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) technology as well as Building Information Modeling (BIM) software to create 3D Virtual Models of theProject. “During the Design Review, I will often send the client 3D Photo Realistic Renderings of Interior Space as well as Exterior views. This along with the Floor Plan drawings really helps the client to see the Design development.”
In addition to working with individual clients and Home Builders to produce “Building Plans”. Wright has helped a number of clients with their “Remodeling”needs. Re-purposing of space or Remodeling has gained in popularity during recent years. Wright states, “In many instances, individuals really like their home and its location, they just want to give it a “face-lift”,take in a garage, or add a Screened Porch. These additions add value to their home, but in a much more cost effective manner than that of building a new home. We have been able to help some of our clients with this type of Project.
