Was qouted a good price and I advised service was on a direct mount not a universal mount and allowed a new qoute. I agreed that the qoute was fair according to other qoutes. I brought my van in the day prior to allow cooling for next day service which was going to be the first on list. I was told to expect 2 or three hours for R&R. I also asked if the parts were OEM and the owner assured me the correct part was being used and there were only two vendors for this part. Well the next afternoon I arrived to pick up my van or to wait on completion since I had already left the van overnight and allowed the qouted time plus and they had not even started but said mine was next and gave excuses that they really wanted to finish a different vehicle first. So I left and within the hour was called to pick up my van it was done( supposedly a 3 hour job). Ok great they are fast and I was forgiving of the wasted time. When I left the van started rattling awfully so I returned and they road with me to explore problem.They said there was nothing wrong but if I proved it they would fix it. So I took pictures under the van and showed them to several parts stores and another muffler shop and they all agreed the part was put in wrong and it was not the proper replacement. I contacted Oxford Muffler and told them and they argued but I said I could get the right part and they could just swap it out so they agreed and again I dropped my van off the day before to allow cooling. I stopped in the first thing to wait on the service this time and was told they were busy and would try to squeeze me in that day. I replied I sure hope you can and again it actually only took about an hour. When I picked up my van I was given a check refund of $600.00 and when I said it was supposed to be $660.00 I was told shipping was $75.00 for the wrong part. I was not pleased that they caused me two trips and a rental car plus shipping for thier mistake. But being fair the final outcome is my van is now running quietly and has the right part. So they get it right the first time even if it it takes twice but you have to prove they did poor service first. I will not be back even if they do good business some times with some customers. If your feeling lucky give them a shot at your vehicle and wallet and by the way a more professional shop told me after showing the pictures that the part had already been exposed to extreme temperatures and this Oxford muffler is making up for cheap labor with cheap parts and are charging high retail. Try your luck you might be alright I would prefer quality myself.
