Tree Service
They have done work in my yard, my mothers yard, and my neighbors yard. They were great, they came on time and stayed until the job was finished. They were very nice to talk to and cleaned up their mess.

Tree Service
Joe and his crew arrived early on 4/16/13. The tree was quickly down,
ground into small chips and gone. Joe hired Bama Bobs stump grinding
who arrived as the last of the tree was hauled away. Bob ground the
stumps and roots, cleaned up the mess and everyone was gone by 3:00pm.
Everyone performed in a professional manner and I would recommend them to anyone needing tree service.

Tree Service
A tornado came through our neighborhood in April, 2011. The tree service, which was local, was Johnny on the spot with a decent price for removal of all the trees. The owner told us that for $3,500 they would get the trees off of the house, remove all the downed trees in the yard, then come back and grind all the stumps/root balls and bring his machine to level the yard back out where the huge stumps had been ground. All total there were at least 15 trees to deal with. The insurance company, in a state of crisis because of the tornadoes, cut the owner a check for the full amount right away. The trees were removed from the house and property, but we were told it would be about a month before they could come back and grind the stumps due to so many customers in need of that service. We called them a few times and they finally showed up sometime in July or August. On the day they came back, it appeared that they had ground six stumps, then the workers said the grinder had broken and they would have to come back for the rest. They never came back. During the wait after April, our home was being put back together and our neighbor's crew had pulled up and hauled off two of the huge stumps that were left, and never asked for payment - so that's two stumps our tree service was paid for without having to do the work. I called our insurance company about getting the work finished and they weren't able to get in touch with the service. I tried to call, myself, and got a 'this number is no longer in service' recording. My husband has since decided to try to spread out the piles from the big stumps by hand and has found that the two really big mounds still contain partial stumps. Our yard has been an ugly mess for a year and this company has gotten away with turning their backs on a job. They owe our insurance company for the two stumps they never finished, plus the ones they never got to, plus the two that were hauled off by the neighbors, and for the work of spreading out the mounds. I refuse to pay for something that's already been paid for and I will never endorse this company, their work, or their work ethic. They got lazy and didn't have time to finish up the details - and disappeared. My advice is to avoid any company that this man may represent in the future, and if Affordable Tree Service happens to show up at your door... tell 'em NO THANKS! They're crooks as far as I'm concerned.

Tree Service
I'm now using a tree service that gives me a written estimate and finishes all the work I have paid for. Lesson learned, is to be sure and get a written and signed estimate.

Tree Service, Landscaping
They are a local tree company. I was getting back from North Carolina and I asked them to go ahead, but they almost thrashed my backyard. I had previously agreed with the owner that he would not drive the truck on the yard, because if so, he had to drive over my late wife’s garden. Also, when he had parked the truck outside, he had knocked off a light outside. I didn’t negotiate with him much as I wanted to just settle it and didn’t want him back in the yard. Initially, he gave an estimate and told me that when he does the job, I wouldn’t be able to tell that he was in the yard, so I chose him. My wife expired a month previous to that and her gardens were very precious to the family. I told him he couldn’t use any heavy equipment to get there. There were 2 trees and one of them was near the driveway, but I told him not to drive there and told him to get on to one of the trees and to include it in the estimate. He told me that the job will be done in such a way that, I wouldn’t tell he was in the yard. I could probably take him to court, but he didn’t inform the crew about our agreement, so I couldn’t blame them. Even when I spoke over the phone, I agreed for it assuming it was him and asked about the agreement and he agreed, but it was not him, as it was just a crew member. I was agreeable to the price, assuming he will have to climb on one of the trees, which was not easy. They cut the tree beautifully leaving a 3 foot stump on both sides, but what he did for the yard was bad. I will never use him in future, again.

Tree Service
All service except the cutting to length and stacking was as agreed to by me, on August 29, 2011 They did not, however cut and stack as agreed. Only the largest portions of the hickory tree were cut and stacked. No smaller trunk/branches of the hickory were cut and stacked. None of the oak tree was cut or stacked. I was unable to monitor the work due to my wifes surgery.
When I complained, Affordable agreed that I was due the equivalent amount of wood cut and stacked. This was on/about August 30 or August 31, 2011.
Numerous telephone calls have continued to promise delivery, but it hasn't been accomplished to date (10/22/11) after nearly 2 months.
DON'T be absent when this type of work is going on.
