This provider failed to inspect many items in my house such as the refrigerator, ice machine and even tubs.  After I closed on the house we entered to find water on the floor in front of the refrigerator and after having 2 service men inspect the fridge it was discovered that the freezer door was filled with water and the seals were not in tact.  Both service men wrote that this was pre-existing and should have been seen by the naked eye in a basic inspection.  Because of that my insurance policy would not cover it.

Additionally my wife turned on the ice machine and water was spitting out of the ice maker and covering the inside of the unit.  Clearly there was a problem and if the inspector even turned on the machine he would have seen the same situation.

We went into our master bathroom and the jacuzzi tub was not even secured and sealed and was moving around.

We live in a separate state and relied on this inspector to be our eyes and ears and because they were negligent it has cost us over $3000 in repairs to fix these problems which could have been negotiated in the sale.

When I contacted the owner his response was he would give us back our $500 and we could not sue him for his gross negligence because in his contract his employees are covered from negligence.

Great way to run a business.....I can't believe the realtor recommended this company because they surely don't know what they are doing.

From the minute I called, Michelle & Tommy were nothing but extremely professional!! Tommy arrived early, asked us if and where we had any concerns. Then got right to work. 4+ hours later he had us sit down and went over the good, bad, ugly, & very ugly! (I think it hurt him more to tell us the really bad stuff, more then it hurt us!) lol We were very grateful for his total honesty though! He gave us a list of the most vital things to fix, & the things we could hold off on. He explained different things we could do to cut our insurance, & explained different options on fixing them. Even though he worked late, crawling & climbing, in & out of every hole in the house, he still went home, wrote up his report and had it to us THAT NIGHT!! I would & will hire them again without hesitation!

Tommy did a great job.  We are in the process of buying a condo in Alabama and requested a home inspection.  Tommy checked the mechanical and electrical systems.  Inspected the cosmetic aspects of the unit and provided his analysis in a detailed report.  I called him afterwards, as I didn't attend the inspection and we had a great discussion on the property and things to look for.  It was money well spent.

We contacted HomeSouth Inspections about a property that we were considering purchasing.  Tommy arrived early and was set-up and ready to go when we arrived at the house.  The first thing he asked us to do to was to walk through the property with him and identify any problem areas or concerns that we had.  Tommy was very professional and did an excellent job of answering all of our questions throughout the entire inspection.  He also did an excellent job of explaining to us how sever or minor things were that he identified.  Tommy provided a full inspection report to us that same evening.  The report was very thorough with pictures clearly illustrating any issues.  I was more than satisfied with the quality of the inspection conducted and now have a full understanding of the condition of the house if we choose to move forward with the purchase.  I would recommend his services to anyone considering purchasing a home and would not hesitate to use him again in the future.
