Honest reliable and very personable man. unlike another mechanic who is located nearby, Hal will not just throw parts at a vehicle in an aimless attempt to "maybe" fix a problem. Hal first determines the cause of a problem, gives an estimate which is always within just a few dollars (usually it is less than estimated) then solves the problem and you depart his shop a happy customer.
I have never known any other mechanic I would recommend as highly as I do Hal. Be sure to call before going to his shop though as he sometimes does get quite busy and may not be able to get to you as quickly as he wants.I have used Hal several times.His quote was half of the quote from Firestone. We worked out the date for the service. The work was completed at the promised time, at the quoted price. No problems with the repairs. He has always been fair and honest with me, even sending me elsewhere if it could be done cheaper. Always quality work and he stands behind his work. One man shop, so urgent repairs may take some time, Work with him on a future date for your repairs and you will be pleased.
