Edward has taken care of my irrigation system for the past 10 years. He also installed a French drain to carry water away from an area on the side of my house. He is a very hard working honest family man who does an excellent job. He is also a very nice person to know. His rates are fair and the job is always done well. I highly recommend Edward Briggs for any lawn care needs you may have.

NuLawn provided a great experience. I needed to plant some Sod, remove a tree and shrubs. They kept me in the loop, explained the process and why there were delays in the process. I can definitely recommend their services.

The crew showed up on time and worked as weather would allow throughout the process. However, as I watched the progress take shape, I noticed that Mr. Briggs didn't use any engineering tools to measure the grade and insure that water would drain away from the house. When I questioned him about this, he assured me that he "eye balled" it and had done this so long, he would guarantee that it would look "like a golf course" once completed. Since I am not an engineer, nor an expert in this field, I mistakenly took him at his word. The yard still holds water in several areas. Thus, the failing grade on "Quality," as this is a pass/fail qualifier. The irrigation system that we agreed upon was for 7 or 8 zones. While the controller would support this number, they only installed the system with 4 working zones leaving the pressure questionable, and the coverage 'sketchy' at best. They obviously are not experts at designing and installing professional irrigation systems. The sod has eventually filled in and is beginning to look nice - other than those areas that still hold too much water - after it was originally delivered completely infested with "Army Worms." The rock work of the landscaping is nice, but the mulch beds now support my questioning him at the time about not putting down any barrier to limit growth of grass/weeds other than the intended plants. When I questioned him about no matting/barrier, he insured me that isn't done anymore...another myth, much like his calibrated eyeballs measuring the drainage grade. Needless to say, after much time and money, I now need to consult true professionals to help me salvage as much of my original investment as possible and achieve the quality product I bargained for, but didn't receive.

I had called several landscapers, including many on Angie's List, inquiring about installing river rock in 2 prepped gardens and didn't even receive the courtesy of a return phone call.  I called Nu-Lawn.  Mr. Briggs (Edward) responded right away.  He came to the house the next morning, advised on suppliers and costs (even recommended that I go with an independent provider for the rocks since I could get the rock delivered myself at a lower cost than he could) and he provided a reasonable estimate. Once the rock was delivered we scheduled a date for installation.  He even called back when he became available at an earlier date and offered to do it then.  Edward was very professional and courteous and presented himself and his company well.  He and his worker did a great job of installation with minimal disruption to us in the house (moving rocks can be QUITE noisy).  They were done before we knew it.  We would definitely recommend them to anyone needing virtually any kind of landscape work.
