They came out and then I never heard back from them with the estimate.
Description of Work
Had a roofer do an insurance complete replacement roof job last year and have had a lot of issues during and after with the contractor and the work performed. The roof is uneven, lumpy, used existing flashing leaving the holes, exposed decking, and exposure to the structure.

It was horrible. They were over a week late for the appointment. I was promised a crew of 4 or 5 men. They sent 2 women and 1 man. It was suppose to be 2 or 3 days job. They spent 5 hours and wanted full pay. It leaked afterwards and I called them back. They had to be paid extra money for the work they should have done the 1st time.I had more damage and am considering sueing them. Do not use this company. They are not reliable and dishonest

I truly apologize that you feel this way with the understanding you didn't pay the price Agreed (1st contract, 1st repair), paying what you wanted. We fixed the original (1st) leak repairing a bigger area than estimated, in a shorter time frame estimated and not getting paid correctly. The 2nd (leak) time you called us on weeks later, was due to the fact your personal helper removed some tiles on the roof in adjacent to the area that was fixed, resulting in him falling off the roof and leaving the roof exposed for 3 days before calling us. We then came and covered the roof for you at no additional charge, so no further damage would occur. Gave you an Agreed price and came back the next day to repair. A-Z Roofing & Contracting did an excellent job for us. Paul was fantastic in keeping us informed in every step of the process. They actually completed the job much faster than I had anticipated. The crew worked very hard, did a great job and were very efficient in their clean up after the job was completed. Paul was also very mindful of the costs as well. He pointed out a couple of money saving opportunities along the way. I highly recommend A-Z Roofing and Contracting and will use them again on our next remodeling project!

Job was started promptly and completed on time. They came back out to fix some things that we were not happy with, however, they failed to address some of the original reasons that they were contacted in the first place. The foreman assured us that he would return to do this, however he was a no-show. When we called to inquire about this we were told our message would be passed along, but that's the last we heard from them.

Unfortunately, the bank ordered appraisal came back too low for the financials to work, and as HUD does not negotiate, the contract had to be canceled, resulting in the work not being needed. If I needed to select a contractor to work with again on a similar project, I would contact Brian Passon at A-Z Roofing and Contracting in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

I am a licensed architect, with over 25 years of industry experience. I was buying a HUD owned home requiring a renovation loan due to its condition. Mr. Passon met with me on site on short notice, discussed the needed renovations with me in detail, discussed additional upgrades, and was professional and courteous throughout. He provided a detailed breakdown of the work to be performed and promptly tweaked the proposal to meet the bank's requirements as needed. The proposal was very reasonable in both scope and cost (right at $10,000), and I was looking forward to working with Mr. Passon to get the work accomplished.

It went well. Mr. Passon brought his worker out to repair the roof around the leaking area, and fit a new vent pipe in the area where the leak was occurring. No leak has occurred since then.

Owner provides fast response from estimates, to having supplies delivered, and getting workers to begin job immediately. The roofing crew we had were unbelievably hard workers. In our case they added support to carport to correct what should probably have been done at initial build years ago. They used quality materials and spent a lot of time making aesthetics as good as structural soundness. They worked everyday from start to finish of job, no days without workers til all complete. Workers very polite and proud of their work, pointing out features they installed to show us how sound our new carport will be now. Excellent job on cleanup too, and they had a lot to dispose of on previously decayed structure. We feel this company wants your business, and is responsive, fair priced, and hard working enough to earn it.

I was contacted promptly, an appointment was made to inspect the issue. On schedule, the inspection was done and an estimate was provided for the repairs. I accepted the estimate and the work was done the next day. The worker started around 8 AM and worked straight through until he finished around 6 PM. I was well pleased with the professionalism and the work performed.

Very Impressed! Mr Passon ( owner of A-Z) came to my home at scheduled time (he called before arriving to confirm ) and did a detailed inspection of my roof and vents.His crews were tied up and instead of putting me off he made it a point to come himself which speaks volumes about his attitude toward his customers no matter how small the job. In the process of the inspection he repaired several areas where nails had popped up and resealed shingles around vent stack. He was very knowledgeable and offered suggestions regarding things to consider in the future ( no pressure to buy anything) He was very professional ,down to earth, and straight forward. he was at my home for 1 hour. I plan to use him again, and let my neighbors and friends know about his business.

It went okay. They came and they did it. I asked them to give me a quote on some additional work. They were going to send me some information and they never followed up. What they did was okay. They looked. They inspected and they caulked a few places. They came over three separate days. They told me they were going to send me some pictures and some follow-up estimates but that never happened. They were responsive. They came when I asked them to come. They came three times. They sent folks. I guess they weren't ready the first time so they sent somebody else. They didn't follow up.

I had some issues with some windows needing replacement, an exterior door that needed replacement, and repair of the interior and exterior wall of a bathroom. The aluminum windows could no longer be raised so they were replaced with vinyl windows. The wooden front door would at times swell and could not be opened. It was replaced with a metal door. The bathroom wall was repaired and sealed with a waterproof enclosure. The exterior of the wall was repaired. Matching vinyl siding was used to finish the exterior. After contacting A-Z Roofing and Contractors, they inspected the job and presented an estimate on the day it was promised. Within a week, the job was started and completed in the time frame as promised. I am very pleased with the workmanship, price and professionalism. I highly recommend them and would definitely use them again.

We did a lot of research and work with this vendor prior to the install. The initial fan seemed to be very expensive. However, after doing research on my own and looking at alternative units, we decided the efficiency, quietness, and expected reliability was worth the extra costs. A-Z Roofing was extremely helpful and understood this was an important purchase to us. They arrived as scheduled and performed the work quickly and to high standards. They COMPLETELY cleaned up at the end of the job. They are completly professional and are extremely knowledgeable. They are in our favorites and will be called again for work at hour home.

Roofing completed in two days from assignment time alloted. Siding job was added extra since roofing increased the beauty of design of house. Due to inclement weather and ordering window and needed supplies the siding job was extended two extra weeks. The job was excellent craftsmanship and I was informed of each task to make overall inspections with Contractor. The contractors and workers very polite and trustworthy.They were prompt to get work completed and eager to answer guestions regarding repairs. All with due respect!

Their crew arrived on time. Quickly removed the rusted Chimney Cap and installed the new premade Chimney Cap. then cleaned the inside of the chimney pipe. Then reinstalled the spark arrester. Once that was done they sealed the rear deck roof (they had to travel over it to do the work on the chimney). Then cleaned up the resulting mess and departed. Company owner came by today (2-2-2015) to check results of work done and receive payment. This was the third project I have had this company do with very good to excellent result at a very reasonable price. This price for this project was $50 below next closest estimate. This company has become my go when I need something done that I am not up to doing myself.
