It was great - a very good experience for me as the homeowner. Clean, thorough and minimum of fuss. This company will NOT over sell you on what you need to insulate your home properly. Someday after I replace my 35 year old HUGE single pane windows, I may call them back to blow insulation in the walls from the interior of the house.
I could not recommend this company more - highest integrity, great work. I'd call this company again in a heartbeat.. The owner is a GOOD HONEST man. Call them - you will not regret it. Please read my longer review for all the details of my work and what a great job they did for me.

This company is prompt, courteous and efficient. There was absolutely no mess - no dust and attic door was open all the time the insulation was being blown in. Nothing, no dust, no fiberglass came out the open attic door. Very clean work; very clean job. I can't believe the difference in my home this makes. Wow! Usually with 80 degree temps the a/c comes on about 2 hrs after the electric roof vent fan comes on (which is set at 90 degrees in the attic) - now my a/c doesn't even come on until I want to cool it down to sleep! So far, the temp stays between 72 and 76 even when it was mid 80's outside... I have no shade whatsoever, large windows facing west and the house is 35 years old. Of course as it gets more into summer and the outside temps heat up, the a/c have to come on - but I am anxious to see just how low my electric bill will drop. From the floor insulation, the floors are actually "warm" - room temperature. Before wherever I walked on the floor w/o carpet - my feet would freeze and I'd run to put on slippers - now it is such a positive change, I notice the difference immediately. It's comfortable to walk on the uncarpeted floors - even the ceramic tile. I highly recommend this company - very honest, easy to work with. Kevin Flowers will not oversell you - but will tell you "when it will not be cost-effective - when it is not worth doing - or let's do just this now and wait and see and if you want we can do that later if this doesn't do the trick." He is very easy to work with - yet, he knows his stuff. He will travel too - does not have to be immediate Bham area. Price was very good - lowest of 4 bids, and the material and work is great. The finished product is neat, clean and exceeds my expectations. I couldn't ask for more.

Good response to quote request, matched price from other vendor, scheduled well, had to call to come back to finish a section that was missed, blew insulation over forgotten items in attic from previous owner as opposed to moving them first.

C and C won the bid and came right in and got to work. Great overall experience.

This experience was a mixed bag, but my positive intuition about the owner, Kevin Flowers, was enough that I will recommend them for future work. Over the phone, I received an estimate of $.50/square foot for 18" of insulation in approximately 1600 square feet of attic space. I had already received two other estimates, and this was the lowest. The individual also answered his phone after business hours, which was convenient. We scheduled for a few days later at 9:00 a.m., so I could take some vacation hours from work and come in late. At 9:35, I called the number I had, and found out that the blower machine had been giving them problems and they were tuning it that morning and so were running late. They did not call me to tell me that they were running late, however. They showed up at 9:45 and specifically confirmed the order for 18" of insulation. The young men were extremely nice and treated everything with care. However, they only blew 10" on half the house before I pointed out to them that the order was for 18." They had slipped into habit of blowing only 10", as that's what most people order. There were no other problems with the amount after we talked. After about 30 minutes, their blower started having problems. They attempted to fix it locally, and were able to run for another 10 minutes or so, but it eventually gave out. They informed me that they would have to return another time and that the owner would almost certainly give me a discount for my troubles. I found out that he was coming back into town the next day (Saturday), and I told them that I'd be calling him to reschedule. They cleaned up well and promptly, and left. The next day, Saturday, I called Kevin (the owner) in the afternoon. He informed me that they rebuilt the engine for the machine and had it working; we rescheduled for the coming Monday, again at 9:00 am Come Monday at 9:15, no one had arrived. I called Kevin and found that he was stranded on the side of the road, his truck now having given out. It sounded like he was having a bad couple of weeks, and I honestly believe him. However, as I had already taken well over $100 in vacation hours for an incomplete job, I asked him not to return unless he could make it worth my while. He asked to be allowed to finish the job at half off. I eventually agreed, and re-scheduled for 8:00-8:30 a.m. three days later. This time, Kevin and his crew were 15 minutes early, and they blew at least 25" everywhere they could. (It will settle to around 18".) They moved with alacrity, cleaned up quite nicely, and were happy to show me everything. Kevin was again extremely apologetic, and was happy that I let him finish, even at half price. A 50% $400 discount goes a long way for me.
