Description of Work: Mortgage loan. The loan officer I worked with was great, but the fees and the process of Wells Fargo was unlike any other. High fee prices! Rip off.

 + -1 moreThe women in that office were very attentive, and quite frankly, a little embarassed by the way the one man in the office handled things. I ended up walking away from the whole incomplete deal. It was like the mortgage broker was not at all willing to do his due diligence to earn my business. I knew the market; I knew that values of homes were going down, and since I wasn't selling, but just refinancing, time was of essence! But he not only dragged his feet, but assured me that my home would not meet the criteria to refinance at the price I sought. He supported his arguement by referencing the INCORRECT appraisal!!! Repeatedly, I pointed out that fact, and he would respond with surprised shock, as though he was hearing this information for the first time! This behavior made me wonder, at the very least, if this man was stable. As stated above, this dragged on for 2 months, and by then, my home had dropped from $107 per square foot to $103 per square foot!
Description of Work: Tried to sell house, but only got bites to rent. So we took off the market, only to learn that we would have to wait 6 months to refinance at the lower interest rates. Well, finally the day came, and since I already had my mortgage with Wells Fargo, I thought I'd just use the same company. To begin with, I used the guy in the office... he'd stuck his name and face out there, again, so why not. He set up the appraisal which I paid for. When the report came back, it was the wrong house, wrong picture, wrong square footage, and therefore didn't help me at all in my quest to refinance. I let the mortgage processor know, and he said he'd take care of it. He didn't, and 2 months went by...me, calling over and over. Not until my husband called did anything happen. But by that time, the neighborhood we lived in (which was a newer neighborhood) had two foreclosed homes sell way below value. Now my home really was worth less!
