At a recommendation from our local Montgomery, Alabama paint store, we called Wayne Duncan's business phone and left a voice message requesting a price quote to paint the interior of our house. Within a few hours Mr Duncan responded and made an appt to visit our home, showed up on time and evaluated our requirements. Prior to departing he gave us a by-room estimate to perform the requested work. A day or two later and after receiving a few more quotes, we contacted Mr Duncan to let him know we would give him our business. He thanked us for our decision and said he would call back in 2-3 hours to let us know when he would be available to begin working. The call never came. The next day we tried several times to contact Mr Duncan via the same phone we used to conduct our previous business...he never answered the phone and each call ended with a recording that his account did not have an active message service. Each day for 6 days we made several attempts to call Mr Duncan with the same results. On the 6th day we contacted the local paint store from where we received the recommendation and at our request they agreed to try to contact Mr Duncan as he was a regular customer and because we were both attempting to verify that nothing untoward had happened to him. The paint store personnel were unable to make contact. As we have made several contact attempts each day for 7 days without success (the phone was answered one time but hung up prior to anyone speaking at that end), we have elected to provide this feedback. The fact that Mr Duncan as a service provider has failed to keep his word to contact a customer at the appointed date/time and/or to subsequently make contact to explain the transgression leads us to conclude that he lacks the professionalism we expect from someone working in our home. Although we believe 7 days is a sufficient amount time to await an explanation and have thus elected to leave negative feedback, we will amend this review should we subsequently determine that Mr Duncan's failure to communicate was the result of circumstances outside his control.
Description of Work: At our request Mr Duncan visited our home in Montgomery, Alabama, provided a price quote on painting the interior, and thanked us for eventually agreeing to utilize his services. He then stated he would contact us within 2-3 hours to confirm when he'd be available to start work; it has been 7 days since that 2-3 hour contact window expired and we still have had no contact with Mr Duncan despite our calling several times per day since.
