I could not have been happier with the service provided by Mr. Lackey.  From his timely cost estimate to his flexibility meeting our schedule, his team was top-notch.  He provided a very detailed cost estimate, started the work on time and, more importantly, finished on time and was within budget.  It was a pleasure working with him and I would definitely hire him again.

Mr. Russell Lackey's painting services were above reproach; the same for Mr. Lackey's staff member, Joey, who actually did the work  He completed the job professionally and timely within the original cost estimate.  No hint of dishonest dealings. Mr. Lackey's attitude was customer oriented even though this was not a large job for his company.  I'ved tried many times to get other extrenal painters out to complete this job but promises made were not kept which seem to be the norm for this area.  I highly recommend Mr. Lackey's painting services and if I need painting done in Houston, Texas, where we are moving, I may have to give him a call.  You can actually trust this gentleman's integrity and character.

Russell and his crew did an excellent job! I was very comfortable with the men working in my home. Everyone that works for Russell is very polite. They all do excellent work and pay close attention to detail. We will not use any other painting service.

Mr. Lackey was very prompt in providing us with a written estimate for our consideration.  His estimate was very reasonable and, in fact, the total cost was reduced by $2,000.00 due to the job being completed ahead of schedule.  His employees were always prompt, courteous, and professional in every aspect.  The finished product was exceptional in every way.

Russell is an awesome paint contractor! I would recommend him for any of my family and friends and HAVE.
He is an honest and trusting man to say the same for his sweet crew. Russell does little changes and repair in mid stream without any fuss. He even went as far as to remove some sheet rock in my laundry room where I had my children's growth marked on the wall so that I could preserve it!!

They were wonderful, I have nothing bad to say about them at all. In fact, we have recommended them to several people already. They were efficient. We had somebody else in here that was painting first and after a couple of rooms, we just said no, get out. They did a bad job.
They did a good job, they repaired everything that needed to be repaired. They cleaned up after themselves. They didn't get paint on my furniture or floors like the other place was. They just had a good attitude. They worked well together. We were just really pleased with the whole thing. I would tell others that once you use them for painting, you won't use anybody else. They are really good.
The company that we were letting go was charging us $2000.00 more so we thought that their prices were very fair.
They started the day after I called them. They came when they said they would be here and that's the same time they showed up everyday until they were done. They were very professional about their job and had a good attitude.

Mr. Lackey provided four painters with ladders and scaffolding to paint high
ceilings in our house.  The painters were polite and effecient.

Mr. Lackey came out the day I called. He emailed an estimate later that day. The next day we emailed him back and agreed to the price. They came later that day and started the job. One of our kitchen walls was a mess (peeling) from the poor job previous painters had done. He analyzed the problem and told us they would scrape, prime and paint. The walls look great and I believe the peeling problem is solved. He sent 2 men, Ricky and Marcus to paint. Everyone was professional and I plan to use them again for bedroom painting.

It was indeed a pleasure to meet and work with Russell Lackey.  Mr. Lackey provided a detailed estimate via email.  Now that was a nice touch.  At the completion of the job, Mr. Lackey appended to the estimate document to provide details of the expenditures for supplies, etc.  All I can say is wow!  Being an engineer by education and trade, I like organization and detailed documentation.  Mr. Lackey delivered and deserves the recognition of professionalism that will be highly appreciated by anyone that calls upon Mr. Lackey for his services.  And then there's the shining example of character and trust worthiness that can put a home owner at ease within the first 30 minutes of talking with Mr. Lackey.  It's old school stuff that should never go out of style. 
His painters for our job, Chuck and Randall, were very polite, quite, easy going and sought to make sure we were 110% satisfied with the quality of their services.  Taking pride in the quality of one's work is a fading character trait in today's work force.  But Chuck and Randall get it when it comes to doing the job right the first time.  They would show up each day and get to it in a very business like manner.  Thanks guys!!

Excellent work, very accomadating

Job was very well done. Because I have to be at work early on Saturday morning Mr. Lackey's crew stated they would arrive by 6:15am, however they arrived earlier than that which was a wonderful surprise.  They were courteous and professional and very trustworthy. 
I did leave for work shortly after they arrived and upon returning home that evening, the painting was completed much to my enjoyment and the place was spotless. I would definitely use Mr. Lackey again and will recommend him and Angie's List to everyone I know and anyone who needs assistance.

After painting our master bedroom ourselves, we decided to hire someone to paint the remaining rooms in our house, excluding the living room.  We interviewed several painting companies/painters in April and May of 2012 and decided to hire Mr Lackey to paint in June 2012.  He was, by far, the most reasonably priced.  He provided a written estimate, detailing costs and time required to finish the project.  Mr Lackey and his painters were on time and professional and we ended up hiring him again in December 2012 to paint the remaining room in our house (living room).

Mr. Lackey is quite possibly the most professional, pleasant and supportive contractor I have ever worked with.  He provided a fair estimate--both cost and timeframe--to get our home renovated prior to move in.  His team was likewise very professional.  They always showed on time and worked through the day--there was no worrying about them getting done on time and on budget.  Mr. Lackey also went out of his way to help us with paint suggestions and the end result is phenomenal.  We had other contractors working other aspects of the interior/exterior and he was very accomodating.  Best experience ever.

Everything went very well.  The estimate was in line with other estimates and the entire crew showed up for work every day when we expected them.  They went out of their way to be accommodating and helpful.  A very orderly crew who knew how to get the job done efficiently and correctly.  Very pleasant to work with and we will definitely use them again in the future when we need painting done.  The supplies which the crew needed were always delivered on time so they could continue.  Half way through the project we paid half of the total amount plus supplies used and then when they were completely finished and we had checked everything over the final payment was made.

Mr. Lackey was very professional and very educated on his profession! He came on a Satruday to do the free estimate and by Monday morning his guys were there ready to work. His guys did forget to paint one of the doors but when I called Mr. Lackey and told him he was very apologetic and he made sure the door was painted the next day. You can't go wrong with Mr. Lackey!

Mr. Lackey's two-man crew was prompt, courteous and professional.  They arrived on time, completed all the painting in two days, did meticulous work, and cleaned up thoroughly.  We're very pleased with the quality of the job, and I would certainly call Russell Lackey Painting again.

Mr. Lackey came out to provide a quote and was very upfront with his availability to do the work as he was currently working on a project.  Once I confirmed I wanted the work he did a great job of keeping in touch with me.  He originally said he thought the job would take 2 days however when the workers showed up there was an extra painter and they were able to complete it in one day which made my life easier.  We took all the pictures off the wall but the painters moved some heavy furniture and put it back when they were done.  The worked quickly, were very professional and engaged in conversation with me every now and then.  When I walked through the house I noticed a few spots here and there and they immediately touched the area up.  Because they were finishing up early I asked them to paint our guest bathroom and they had no problem doing that.  I'm very happy with the services received and will reach out to this company again if I can convince my husband to get the rest of the interior painted.  The only "little" complaint I have is I feel the price was on the expensive side but again I'm very happy with the results.

The overall work was great. They started on time, stayed at the job each day and finished on time. The small things that had to be touched up were done at once.

I thought they were wonderful. They did an excellent job, cleaned up after themselves and don't have anything negative to say about them. If I need any additional painting done, then I would definitely use them.

The entire experience was positive. Mr. Lackey was very professional when he came to take a look around. He had a written estimate ready for me within 8 hours of viewing the home. He understood what I asked him to do because one of the products was a new product that he had not had any experience with. Some of the other estimators had a little bit of an issue with it. He was able to start the next week. He dedicated 3 or 4 people to the project. They worked only on my home within the specified hours they said they would work. They showed up on time and they left by at least the time they said they would leave. They cleaned up after themselves. Mr. Lackey came to the project every day to check and see the progress. They worked on Saturday to get everything completed. The entire experience was very positive. Mr. Lackey was quick to follow up to give me the invoice to get the payment. I had 3 different estimates and their price was in the middle.
