i HAD A 40 GALLON RHEEM HOT WATER HEATER INSTALLED IN 1-2020. IT FAILED AFTER 8 MONTHS. i CALLED A PROFESSIONAL TO COME SERVICE IT. AFTER testing it-he found that the unit had an extraordinary amount of soot build up on the burner assembly and surrounding heat exchanger. The unit had the correct amount of supply gas pressure, correct amount of combustion air, correct area for make up air, and vent connection was all verified and correct. The gas pressure reading was 7.5-the gas stove and gas furnace works perfectly with no issues with the gas or venting. It has incomplete combustion still present after cleaning the burner assembly and pilot assembly. It had a faulty control module and burner assembly. There is no improper venting of the unit-it was inspected and was fine. The CO detector is located right beside it-it has NEVER sent an alarm for CO leak or detection. They are saying it is due to installation-which it was professionally installed-they are just snaking out of the warranty-just like my installer told me they would do before I even contacted them . He has had this exact issue with others he installed and other people installed that he was called to service. I do NOT recommend this company nor their product to you. They do NOT stand behind their warranty-and this non-existent warranty was for parts only! You would think to provide any type of customer service they would send the failed parts under the warranty for a unit that was installed only 8 months ago. I will NEVER purchase their product again-nor recommend it to ANYONE!
