Hired Donald to remove old driveway and pour new driveway. Work was substandard with significant issues to include a 1/2” drop from the garage, protruding rocks, holes, debris in finish, uneven inconsistent rough finishes and spilled oil spilled on street. Owner was advised and shown all issues and said he saw no issues and left. A search shows the company and owner are unlicensed in AL.

I didn't have a very good experience with them. Initially he was doing a pretty good job and laid a good foundation, probably an even better one than the guy before. However, he didn't do a very neat job on the concrete and when the concrete dried, I found several places that needed to be fixed, but he would never return my calls or come back out.

 I don't have the stomach to go over the story from begining to end so I will make this short and sweet.4/4/2012 Contacted Mr Luckie for an estimate.4/10/2012  They came to install the curbing, completed the job after having to provide them with a hose and a spray bottle so the didn't have to use a Red Bull can to apply water to the dry concrete mix.After 6' of curbing was installed the color looked  wrong but we were told when it dried it would match the brick on the house. My wife had to watch over the job and point out areas that need to be corrected for the next 100'.Paid Mr Luckie  $750.00 and asked for my receipt and was told when he returned to seal the curbing the next day he would have a receipt. 4/11/2012 The next day woke up to PINK curbing that was already cracking & crumbling and asked Mr Luckie to come and look at it. He agreed and instead of the next day, it would be Thursday at 4pm ( so the check would clear )4/12/2012  4 pm came and went called Mr Luckie he said he was on another job and wouldnt be able to make it. I explained we were leaving at 5:45. While I was not at home he came and sealed the curbing ( that was suppose to correct the color) Never left a copy of the invoice as promised. 4/13/2012 Called Mr Luckie and asked him to come to the house and look at the job with me and he refused stating he didn't want to drive ALL THE WAY OVER to my house to go over my concerns. He said he saw the cracks and he accused me of kicking the curbing with the heal of my boot where I rubbed my thumb over it and it fell apart. He said he would patch the cracks in 3 places, and as far as the crumbling that is my fault.4/15/2012 Called left message no response4/16/2012  called left message no response4/20/2012 Called from a friends phone and Ml Luckie answered and was suprized to hear me on the other end of the phone. Once again I stated my complaint (ie) color,cracks and crumbling.He response now was it was my wifes fault because she was out there correcting the workers ( who asked her to point out any areas of concern ). 4/21/2012 Had to leave town for 10 days.5/1/2012 Mr Luckie called and again stated he woul only fix the 3 cracks he saw when he was here on 4/12/2012. I explained to him I did research and he is unlicensed in Al and I don't want him back on my property
