Rick and his crew are first-rate. I called him at 9:00AM, and he completed the work by 1:30PM that afternoon. He suggested replacing the existing garage door spring with a better unit, and I took his advice. When he finished, it was easy to see why he suggested the replacement -- the new spring is much stronger. Also, Rick's crew noticed that my door was missing two reinforcing bars, which apparently had never been installed by the original contractor. Rick brought over the missing bars and had them installed in minutes. I am a do-it-yourselfer, and I know that replacing garage door springs is difficult and potentially dangerous, so I did not consider doing the work myself. Rick's charges were very reasonable for the work his crew performed. I would call him again without question.

After my wife called me about the garage door, I got on Angie's List and looked for a recommended repair company. Rick's Garage Doors was first on the list and had a history of and quot;Aand quot; reviews. I called and Rick answered, asking for details about the door and setting time for coming over to do the repairs. Getting home to help get my wife's car out of the garage, I called Rick's back and he said he had a technician in the area that could get started within the hour. As promised, his technician showed up and started the repairs as I headed back to work. My wife said that he completed the job within the hour after I left and when I got home, the door was working perfectly. She also said that the technician indicated that we had the wrong size springs on the door and that the replacement springs would more than compensate for the weight of the door. The house was built in 1985 and we have only been in it since 2007, so we don't know if the previous owner had any work done to the door or not. All I can say is that if you have a problem with your garage door, don't hesitate to call on Rick's Garage Doors for quick and professional service.

The repairmen showed up at the time we were given. They were quick to examine the door and explain what had caused the problem and the cost to repair. They repaired the door and were finished within an hour.

I was willing to pay more to have garage door taken down and rehung but Rick said to let them see what they could do. It opens and closes perfectly now. I called on a Sunday night and left a message on their answering machine. They called at 7:58 am Monday morning and set up a time the same day to come replace the spring. They were punctual. They replaced the broken (single) spring in my garage door and a worn gear in my opener. They discovered the worn gear without being asked to check the opener. Apparently when they do anything, they give the system a quick check. I saw the worn gear - there was no doubt it needed replacing. They then did various basic maintenance tasks and corrections that I did not know were needed before they got there. For instance, I was ready to buy a new garage door opener because of the noise but they tightened, aligned, and lubricated my existing system. The change was immediate and very surprizing (pleasantly so). I am an engineer so I understood everything they did, and they did it well.

My garage door opener would not operate. I put it on manual, but when I arrived home that evening, the chain was completely off the track and hanging in the middle of my garage. I selected Rick's Garage Doors from Angie's List becuase I had not been able to find a trustworthy garage door repair professional on prior issues. Rick's Garage Door scheduled service for the same day. They accommodated my schedule and called twice before arriving to make sure I knew they were on their way. They were punctual and professional. Two young men (Josh and Scott) came out and did an outstanding job. Had it repaired in just a few minutes. They had the parts needed, they didn't try to sell me something I didn't need and they gave me hints on maintenance-type things I could do to prolong the life of my garage door opener. I'm completely satisfied and will call again, if needed. I highly recommend Rick's Garage Doors.

very well I was very happy with the work.

I had used Rick's Garage Doors Company in May to replace the steel garage doors. They then came back and replaced the motor. We thought we would be able to get by with the same motor but the motor died. They are very good. They came when they were supposed to come. They did their work quickly. They did it well. We didn't have to call them back because they did it right the first time. They only came back because they thought the motor would last because it sounded fine when they were here to replace the doors. They were neat. They were just good all around. I would use them again if required. I would recommend them too.

They were wonderful. They were able to get out the same day and got the work done very quickly, only 20 minutes. Not only did they replace the spring, they repaired a plastic piece that had broken when the door fell and showed us tips to make the spring last longer. We thought this was a great value for the price!
