There has been some discrepancies between the City of Mobile and County requirements for smoke detectors. As a company we set our standards based on what is required by the NFPA (national fire protection association) in order to keep your home safe. Unfortunately not all electrical companies adhere to this level of responsibility. All city and county codes are also based on the NFPA requirements.
