I made an appointment for annual heartworm check so I could purchase heartworm prevention for my pets. I had used the same vet for over 20 years and he retired so I was hoping this would be our new vet...BUT NO! There were a few red flags...first, the vet drew the blood and really seemed to have a hard time because she was so rushed. My old vet did the effortlessly. Then while I was checking out I learned that I was not allowed to purchase heartworm preventative....REALLY?? They said I was not scheduled for a office visit and I would have to come back and have the doctor check the pet out. I have no issue with following rules but why in the world would they schedule me the "wrong type" appointment when they were aware of what i needed when I called to make the appointment. I felt this was a money game and very tricky! I ended up leaving with a $200 bill and no heartworm medication. This vet was so rude and unprofessional! The sunshine of this horrid event is that I was talking to my neighbor, which had a bad experience there also, highly recommended Dr. John B. Symes at Beltline Animal Hospital. HE IS WONDERFUL!!! (Cross also lied on the documentation she sent to the new vet but we all just laughed at how ridiculous Mary Katherine Cross behaved.) .

The office does not overbook these procedures so they can give appropriate attention to your pet and to you when you pick up and meet with the doctor to review the results of the procedure. Prior to the procedure the staff member explained all the options to me in terms of pain management etc for my pet. They let me know that certain items were completely optional and they explained the options to me and answered my questions. The doctor met with me when I picked up my pet and explained how the procedure went (very well) and some of the things i should be looking at post op. The office also called me a few days later to see how my pet was doing. My puppy healed very well and I found the doctor and staff to be kind, caring and very capable during this process. This has been my experience for all my visits to the office.

My experience has always been good. They do a good time. They are on time. They only thing is that they are expensive. They have good veterinarians. They care about the animals. They call me and check on my pets to see how they are doing. It is a good place.
