 + -1 moreFirst of all, I have no problem with Mr. Davis's work (that is how it looks). The quality seems to be average. Mr. Davis will quote a low price for the work. He will state that the materials on the job have gotten out of control and before you know it, he is continually asking for more money than what you had agreed, a large sum more. Down payment on cabinets were made on April 6th. The cabinet man did not receive the plans or the money until June 13th. I have been without a kitchen since the end of April. Due to poor planning by the contractor an uncomfortable situation became a truly long and drawn out miserable situation. I eventually had to get the city of Mobile involved which issued stop work orders and citations due inadequate licenses. That is where I am today.
Description of Work: Kenneth started the job with leveling and raising the foundation of a historical home. During the job, cracks occurred in the Sheetrock and plaster. Door frames became misaligned. This was all to be expected when doing foundation work on houses built on pillars. I decided to go ahead with wall repairs, painting the entire house (interior) and since I was at it, go ahead and tile the den, tile the downstairs bathrooms, gut and remodel the kitchen, tile the master bath and convert the upstairs bath from tub to a built shower with custom tile and seamless glass doors. I wanted to redo everything. The entire house has been painted (except the master bath). The tile has gone in downstairs. The cabinets are being installed in the kitchen, in stages, and the granite tile should have been going in today.
