Brewer Painting

I signed the contracts on 6/22/12 for a job that he said would take 3-4 weeks. He kept telling me he needed more time to complete the job. On 8/17/12, he informed me that the job was completed except for touch-ups so I paid him the remainder of the money. Since I lived 4 hours away, I had to trust that he did the job completely and correctly. Upon inspection of the house, I realized that he did not paint the closets, the bar area, or the back deck. Additionally, there was an incredible amount of trash left in our driveway from our house and apparently another job. The side exterior door had not been sanded prior to being painted as had many other places inside the house. There was paint spray and paint splatters all over the house and on the few items left in the house (a window fan, folding chairs, and a mini fridge). I tried for another month to get him to return to complete the job, but he stopped responding and never showed up. I had to remove the trash, clean up paint spray/splatters from my new dishwasher, the floors, windows, window frames, door knobs, vents, outlets, and switch covers. Finally, I hired someone else to finish the painting.
