"Thank you [Member Name Removed], we value your opinion! Call us again!"
"When pipes are leaking in the wall, sheetrock or whatever barrier there is has to be removed to fix them. We are not licensed to repair sheetrock and we tell our customers this prior to removing any sheetrock to make the repair. We do not do any sheetrock repair on the side though my technician may have recommended someone to the customer. When my technician arrived at this customer’s house he said the ceiling was water damaged and already had holes cut in the ceiling. This customer’s husband told my technician that he had been trying to locate the leak himself and that he was going to replace the whole ceiling. My technician had to cut two holes to access the pipes that were leaking and do the repair. This customer is not complaining about the plumbing because it is fixed and she no longer has a leak. I am sorry that this customer cannot afford to have her sheetrock repaired but that does not give her the right to claim that we ripped her off or to call our company crooked."
"We have been in business since 1968 and with the current owner for 30 years. Our customers and our reputation are very important to us. We make every effort to take care of our customers plumbing needs with great care and professionalism. We don’t condone services being sold that aren’t needed and we certainly do not laugh at our customers problems. We are sorry that this customer feels she had a bad experience with our company. In researching her account, I can find no record that she made any complaint. If she had we would have addressed it and documented it. What I did find is that her account of what occurred and the cost of the services are not exact. Of course, after 2 ½ years no one is likely to remember the details without having documentation. Our records show that one of our technicians went to her home on 6/10/10 and 9/4/10 and opened her main sewer. Both times he put an estimate to renew her sewer from her house to the street for $2700 on the invoices. This is standard practice when the sewers are older and constructed of any material other than schedule 40 pvc. The second time she said she wanted the sewer to be renewed. The sewer was renewed and city inspected on 9/13/10. Once the renewal was complete it was determined that renewal was not as big of a job as expected, so we reduced the cost of the installation to $1850. She did not have any drain problems for over a year until she called us on 10/28/11 with a stoppage. The technician that serviced her found that there was a stoppage under the house with paper towels (no one should flush paper towels). While he was there he troubleshot problems with one of her toilets and recommended that she replace it. He quoted $375 to provide and install a standard, white round toilet. The new toilet was installed on 10/31/11. She called and said she was unhappy with the toilet and I believe this is the point where she dealt with the flooring issues in her bathroom. Contrary to what she states, we did not send anyone to her home to work on her floors. It is possible that our technician may have recommended someone to her. After the flooring was taken care of we installed a pressure assisted toilet on 11/25/11 for an additional $150 to replace the standard toilet. On 12/23/11 she had another clog. One of our technician opened the line and determined she had a section of pipe under the house that was catching paper and causing a clog. He recommended a point repair to that section of pipe under the house for $600. We went to her home one other occasion on 12/2/11 and replaced the hot and cold shower valves and diverter valve in the hall bath. As our homes age we must do maintenance to keep them safe and in working order. These repairs were four separate problems and occurred over a period of a year and a half. Once Mrs. [member name removed] sewer was renewed from the house to the street she did not have any further problems with the main sewer. When she wasn’t happy with the standard toilet that we installed, we installed a more expensive toilet. The issue under the house on 10/28/11 and 12/23/11 was caused from a section of pipe underneath the house that needed to be replaced. The problem under the house was identified on 10/28/11 but no estimate was given to fix it because unless it is a recurring problem there is not necessarily any need to do anything about it. When the problem occurred again 2 months later, a repair was recommended."
The plumbing tech set the old rusty water heater down on the carpet as he was moving it out, and it left a rust stain. They sent out a carpet cleaner at their expense who cleaned the entire hallway. The carpet is as good as new now.
It took a long time to get a supervisor out to give me a quote, but he eventually got here. They were able to do the work a day earlier than promised because one of their outdoor jobs had been rained out.
Pleased with the work, will call them again.
