"This job was initially presented to LEMConst as "an opportunity for us(homeowners) to upgrade finishes to our home with the money we are getting from our insurance company for the claim". Initial job estimates were for homeowner's review, not ins. company! Homeowner asked for upgrades throughout the damaged area and rest of the house. Contractor was lead to believe there were additional funds available to include the wanted upgrades. Not to be true; the first 2 checks written to secure order for kitchen cabinets, were RETURNED. These funds were partially recovered after a few weeks. Additional NSF fees were partially repaid after homeowner requested and received financial institution documents. Began correspondences with ins co., there were changes and exclusions to consider to satisfy adjuster's provision.(all normal for such claims) The job was initiated by homeowners insurance company. Initial demolition to structural and mechanical items were disturbed/moved/relocated by insurance co's restoration subcontractors. LEMConst replaced damaged microwave handle and coverings because homeowner stated contractors broke it. Repaired drywall, painted walls that were obviously not part of claim damage. Not probable because of the areas (above door frames, behind fixtures) Claim damage was to cabinets and flooring. Homeowner blamed contractor. Mr Homeowner stated to contractor "the dishwasher had a door issue before any incident, claim or work was done at the house". However, contractor agreed to attempt to repair if homeowner would purchase needed parts. Homeowner initially agreed, then later resented, stating she didn't feel obligated to purchase part. Contractor said ok to order part and get DW repaired at earliest convenience. Attempts were made to order part but part was back-ordered or not in stock at times of inquiry. Homeowner began nascence styled emails and phone messages that really encouraged contractor to resend previous noted attempt to satisfy homeowner's request! LEMConst"
